Mishimoto is proud to announce a new partnership with Ford Racing Parts: the Mishimoto Performance Intercooler for the 2022+ Ford Maverick, now available exclusively through Ford Racing Parts.

When Ford Racing Parts (formerly Ford Performance) set out to build an upgraded intercooler for the Maverick's performance package, they came to Mishimoto with a clear brief: deliver a significant improvement in cooling efficiency and airflow, without cutting, modifying, or straying from the factory mounting envelope, and make it 50-state legal (EO: D-759-32).

Our engineering team started with the data — a factory intercooler and complete 3D vehicle models supplied by Ford Motor Company — and designed a larger, stronger bar-and-plate core that fits within Ford's original packaging space. TIG-welded cast aluminum end tanks replace the factory's plastic design, giving the unit the strength to handle significantly higher boost pressures.

"Mishimoto had the right engineering disciplines, all the timing was met or exceeded, and to this point has been a success in our minds in terms of support and quality," said Ron Ewert, Ford Racing Engineer.

This project is a great example of what focused collaboration between an OEM performance division and an aftermarket engineering team can produce.

The Mishimoto Performance Intercooler for the 2022+ Ford Maverick is available now, exclusively through Ford Racing Parts.

This is great. And I am positive I was one of the ones that said "shut up and take my money" when you guys floated the idea of an intercooler with a non-destructive install...

Apparently I misspoke. Ford cannot have that much of my money. :D

I agree. $1k part plus labor at the dealer! And that is a lot of labor to install. Hard Pass.. If I were racing perhaps.. But then I would just do it myself. And it does not fit the Tremor without mods..🤷‍♂️

Just another intercooler with no data to show it does anything over the stock one

It's been on sale plenty of times, just like how it's 15% off on Ford Accessories right now

That's cool. I'm not gonna knock the product, or mention competitors here, but...

Let's just say hypothetically that I'd be totally willing to take a Sawzall to my front bumper and go to town if I saved $500 buying an intercooler elsewhere.

I’m guessing the labor charge at my dealer would be $1,000+ in addition to the $1,000 part.

However, I have a recall that requires my 2K radiator/fan to be upgraded to 4K no charge. The stock intercooler will need to be removed & reinstalled as part of the no charge recall...

I’m going to ask if Ford will greatly reduce the labor charge to put the upgrade 300T on instead of the OEM. I’d be willing to pay $100-$200 labor - but not the $1,000+

Your Atkinson engine is normally aspirated (no turbo) and does not need Intercooler.

Normal air is fine for your hybrid. But the turbo on the EB pressurizes air & heats it up. An Intercooler brings the temperature down a bit before it enters the intake.

There are aftermarket air filters for the hybrid that might improve the air flow into your intake. They are much less expensive ($50) than an intercooler ($1000) and something you could change yourself
