Michelin Defender Tires?

I had the defenders on a work van but they wore unevenly with the amount of weight I was carrying. When the Michelin Agilis came out I got those and they are well worth the money, very even wear. That said, defenders on my Honda Odyssey wear just fine.

Why is he saying you " should plan on going thru a lot of tires"? I have Defenders on my 150 and 250 that have many miles use.
My C-Max has Hankook Kinergy GT on and have 40,000+ miles on them.

New 2026 Maverick hybrid. service guy at dealership said I should plan on going thru a lot of tires .... I have no experience with continental tires but I used Michelin Defenders on my last 2 F150's and loved them... couldnt wear them out ... Anybody using them on their Maverick ??? thoughts on tires ??

I put Michelin Defenders on my 2024 Maverick the day I brought it home from the dealer and couldn't be happier. It is my go to tire. I use Michelin Ice-X in the winter. No issues or complaints. Quiet ride, handle well, seem to be wearing well.(have used the combination on previous vehicles for many years, no reason to change.

I just put these on my 2022 XLT to replace the stock Conti's. They are way better than the OEM tires. Better ride, better road noise, better grip, just an all around better tire.

The stock Michelin Primacy and Continental ProContact tires are built for 3-season use, 60k life and low rolling resistance. Defenders are built more for 3-season use and best life instead, so you will see a maybe 10% increase in fuel usage in order to get that 90k life.

My 23 Lariat Hybrid came with Michelin Primacy tires. Absolutely terrible for a Michelin product. Some of the worst tires I’ve ever experienced; really poor road grip. Got rid of them for the CC2 and I couldn’t be happier; Mav drives like a different vehicle now. Also sized up to the 235’s for more robust look and feel. The Defenders are also really good on-road tires. Owned a couple of sets on other cars before and had great experience with them. Tread wear lasted up to 90k!

Ditched Conti's @ 15,000 miles. Put on Defender 2's. I think it was worth the price. Better ride, handling, and mileage. Road trip went up to 32 mpg. Should be the last set I need for my '24 XLT.

My OEM tires on my 2022 XLT LUX ECO AWD CP360 were unacceptable at 30,000 miles with light use. I replaced them with Defender 2 tires 10,000 miles ago and LOVE them.

As a former ford tech, we had lots of problems with Conti Trac's (broken Belts) I have Defenders on my 22-echo boost Just drove a 26 Bronco loaner from dealer Conti's on it felt off after driving with the Michelins

Told here on the forum that the Conti's first half of tread wares much faster than the second half, especially the last part.

I can confirm that, got truck from shop last week, 25,000 miles and they noted that threads are "marginal", need to replace tires. The original Conti tire set is a junk good only for 25K.
