MBRP catback exhaust system installed

Probably my last mod on my 2024 ford maverick xl awd ecobost. Just replaced my stock exhaust system with MBRP cat back exhaust system uses all original rubber hanging mounts just have to cut the stock exhaust pipe 16 1/4 inches from the back weld on the stock catalytic converter. To cut pipe I got a exhaust pipe cutter from harbor fright $26 made job so much easier than saws all. Then it's just putting the new exhaust together. (Hint) make sure all ends of new system go together before crawling under truck and find out the pipe was smashed in shipping or whenever. But after getting that bent back out it went great. Doesn't sound much louder but I can tell the motor runs smoother and excellarates much faster. We'll worth $405.00 free shipping and no tax. Anyway I love it. Here are a few pictures

One of the first things I did to mine was the cat back from MBRP.

I did change out the tip when I installed it.

One of the first things I did to my 22 was the MBRP Stainless Steel catback. Loved it everyday since install.

I did change out the tip, ordered it same time as I did the kit.

I bought that Harbor freight exhaust cutter as well. For a tool that I don’t use often but don’t have one, Harbor Freight is a winner for me.

Question to you gentlemen. What does the catback gain you? I know what it supposed to do workibg along side cold air intake and tuning but working by itself. Asking cause I too am considering installing one. Thanks ahead of time

It is less restricted so maybe a little gain.

I have ran MBRP exhaust dating back to 1999. Never had an issue with their products. It is more of a deeper sound than other exhausts I have heard. It isn't tinny, or Honda Fart can sounding, just deep.

Catback systems are sometimes less restrictive so better flow. You are still going from 2 1/4” to 3” so unless you delete catalytic you aren’t gaining a lot of flow. Sound change more than anything.

They are same size that came on truck they look like chrome but it's actually paint called virtual chrome really like that doesn't rust or oxidize but can chip if hit hard enough. And they shine like chrome. I have a fourm that shows all my mods. I have about $5,000.00 in mods already still have nurf bars to put on then I think I am done. Here are most recent pictures

From what I have read it just reduces back pressure and let's the turbo flow better and sounds cool. Doesn't require any tuning and don't like cold air induction because it could require a tune and I don't want to do all that. But I will say my truck runs alot smoother after I put the catback exhaust system on

In the old days when we put Hooker Headers on our V-8's, the 302 was a fav.
We had to wrap the headers in an Asbestos base heat shield to help hold in heat for the exhaust valves. If they got cold due to the better air flow they no longer sealed up against the head as well. This, 'Blow by' burned valves and cracked pistons.
Now you put on better flowing exhaust or drop in a K&N Air filter the air gate closes up some or the Injectors adjust according to the fuel control system. But The Turbo now has access to faster air flow/quicker spin up than before, even a little means something right !

I have modified other 4 cylinder cars with cat backs, milled and ported heads, cams, ported manifolds and headers and chips with good success. This eco boost is by far the easiest to get improved performance.
Magna Flow cat back, AFE high Flo intake filter and sport mode equals a fun rides.
Now thinking of suspension changes to increase the fun.
