it runs great it sounds great ! the only thing i do not like is the diel shift i am going to see if a friend of mine can put a hand shift like the f150
According to Sarah N Tuned's website the soft shift is required because Ford elected to use a transmission that can barely take the torque that the ecoboost makes stock.

According to Sarah N Tuned's website the soft shift is required because Ford elected to use a transmission that can barely take the torque that the ecoboost makes stock.
I am guessing that when they wrote that two and a half years ago, they were referring to the shifter dial in the cab of the truck, not the way the transmission changes gears. :wink:

I am guessing that when they wrote that two and a half years ago, they were referring to the shifter dial in the cab of the truck, not the way the transmission changes gears. :wink:
No, she said there had to be a power reduction for a fraction of a second at each upshift to protect the transmission from the engine torque. The transmission is not rated to take the torque of the ecoboost engine.

I know what Sarah said. Whether it is true or not, I’m saying it has zero to do with the post you quoted.
I was just poing out that any power upgrades we do on our truck might damage the transmission.
