Yes, they can get really bad. My wife's car also had to have the roof cut off and replaced in that storm. Fortunately, no one got hurt that night.
Tennessee may not get the large number of F4 monsters you see in Texas, Oklahoma, or Kansas, but we are bit unique in that tornadoes here aren't seasonal and we get almost half of them at night - home of the nocturnal tornadoes.

It's been over 30 years now but I had a friend who had a hail stone penetrate his roof, ceiling, bounce off carpet floor, went through internal sheetrock wall, and totaled his refrigerator! Rule of Texas thumb if ambient temp drops 25+°F and if thunderstorm is coming. Put cars in garage or wherever is best for hail.

Picked up the truck today. There is zero evidence of hail damage.... besides the front camera error and message that the collision assist won't function. Dealer says that maybe the camera didn't get plugged back in properly when they had the roof panel out. I didn't see anything blocking it.

Congrats, but that's pretty frustrating. I'm sure the error popped up immediately and someone from the dealership noticed, but wasn't proactive about it.

Apparently they haven't drove it since the repairs were done. They said they'd make it right by me. I appreciate it, but how lol. I don't expect anything, I understand things happen. But if you tell me that I'd like to know how ha.
