Those remind me of racks my Dad made in the 70's. Except he used nails instead of screws. He was not afraid to bend a nail and just pound it down, not pull it and put one in straight.

Those are a work of art compared to Dad's.

They were on a 1961 Chevy C10. He would get horses to jump into the bed, no ramps. It was something to see.

Yeah, that was the inspiration. Alot of old trucks had wood racks and they just work. These Mavericks do not have the holes to mount the 2x4's easily but still managed it

Yeah. He does look funny back there. But he’s 100% good boy.

That's good to know . I'm definitely more of a cat person after having experience with too many aggressive dogs. But I still like being around more laid back dogs like yours.

I had a 150 lb female rotty. Great dog. She really didn't like it when I got married, jealous girl. But she outlasted the wife.
