Love my 2nd Maverick, as well as the first. Going to keep it unless that Eruption Green one keeps calling. Zero issues with either one. Great gas mileage, best of any vehicle I've owned. I know there is a recall on the backup camera but mine has never "frozen". My service charges are all taken care of with my Ford Points. Maybe someday I'll be back here to post a complaint, but probably not.
I wasn’t thinking eruption green originally but when this one came available for immediate sale at the dealership and was a special order with everything I wanted I jumped on it - one week in I absolutely love it

Yeah... I'm old enough to remember how exciting it was if a car hit 100k miles. Basically, the end of life 😂 . I remember my father had a 1969 station wagon and by the time we put 40k mi on it it was already a big rust bucket. So by comparison to those days today's vehicles are much better built. And I'm sure there are a lot of people here that remember the days of no air conditioning, no power windows, no FM radio, the old cigarette lighter and ashtray, bench seats front. And many other things I don't remember.
I remember when Ford made trucks that went 250,000 or 300,000 miles. Had a 1967 F-100 that likely would still be on the road if someone hadn't hit it. My 1996 Ford Bronco is at 190,000 and it is still going strong. I agree with the original poster in the sense that in the past if a problem was found Ford got right on it. The big problem with the battery deep sleep in Maverick hybrids has been known since the 2022 model year and here we are in the 2025 model year and the newest hybrid Maverick is still experiencing the problem. Ford should have fixed this in the 2022 model year but didn't and even spent resources on a redesign of the front end and dash instead of fixing the basic core of the vehicles. Makes one think that new sales mean far more to them than taking care of their current customers. They were never that way before. At one time quality "WAS" job one. Evidently not anymore.

Yes, but no actual MTC forum members were harmed in the making of the Original Post (aka Hit Piece)..
I think people who write that kind of thing must be thinking that they'll have a ton of replies affirming beliefs and sharing their own butthurt.

They probably would get a little bit of affirmation but sometimes people go about it wrong. Instead of posting something like boy I'm slightly disappointed by the number of recalls, and maybe what appears to be the lack of quality from Ford. Is there anyone else that feels that way? When you post it like that people reply better. However, when you just say Ford sucks dick and their cars are s*** then it's kind of like of course people are going to defend them because we own the trucks that are being slammed.

Looking at the recall list on the Ford Maverick I count at least 6 and there maybe more. They've been fined $165M by the NHTSA for the delay in recognizing the rear view camera problem and 9 months after knowing about the problem, they still don't have a fix. Maybe there's something wrong with their QMS. Maybe IATF 16949 Quality Certification is just window dressing; because, if it really was a Quality Management System, Ford wouldn't be the world leader in recalls. Maybe it's time they remember the lessons taught by W. Edwards Deming back in the 1980s and back at a time when their slogan was Quality is Job One; then, just maybe they could make a car that wasn't destine for a recall.
Kind of the nature of software. I spend more time getting updates on most of my apps than running them. About half the updates are fixes.

Unless you were born before 1902, that is simply not the case. Learn about computing history. :p
OK, OK... 😜
"I Got" my First "Packard Bell" only back in 1992 (Win 3.1).. 🤪

Edit: I just was corrected... I DID buy an "Sinclair ZX-81" back in 1982.

No response from OP. I'm sure they value everyone's input.

It's called rage bait and y'all gulp it down.

And tbf, not entirely wrong either.

I am afraid that "Proper English" was dropped from modern schools, about the same time.
That "Cursive" writing was dropped as well... :(

Jerry
Capitalizing cursive and proper while putting quotation marks around them isn't proper English either but whatcha gone do bout it?

1981. Sinclair ZX-81. Cost one hundred bucks I could barely scrape together. Had 1K of ram. Not one meg, one K. Called in sick to stay home and play with Basic.
