Unfortunately waiting for mine to be shipped too.

I called up my step dad who works for Norfolk Southern and he said the strike is very likely. He also said it probably won't last long.

After 11 months since I ordered it, my Velocity Blue XL hybrid W/ CP360 was finally built yesterday. Today I read that there is a good possibility of a national rail strike next week. I'm never going to get my Maverick :(
Oh dang same here ordered Velocity Blue Lariat last October, latest update says in transit, I'm sweating bullets lol

I am too. I got the email this morning that it was shipped. I am going to contact my dealer on Monday to see if I can get the rail car information.

Wonder if Ford would consider sending some car carriers down to Mexico and drive some of those back here so they could start the payment process on deliveries faster ? Seems like it would get $ coming in faster for them which should offset the cost of doing it maybe? Also would it help dealers get their allocations faster?

You'd think so but others are saying that there is a car carrier shortage too. If there is a strike, I hope it is short.

How long did yours sit before it shipped ? I am finding it odd that there is so many of us sitting and others who where built earlier are shipped ?

Which is worse, waiting all those months for your maverick to be built, or waiting all the weeks and months for your Maverick to get from the factory to the dealer?

How do you know it's still sitting at the shipping yard? Mine was built on 08/31, and I got an email saying it was shipped 09/03. I am assuming its probably almost all the way to St Louis Mo. now, where it's supposed to be transferred to a car carrier.

Ford CS and my dealer both said according to their stuff that it’s still sitting at the shipping yard, he said it’s possible that it isn’t updating and it will just show up, but otherwise that’s all the info they still had as of Friday

My dealer wasnt able to tell me anything. I got a vin# order# and sales code#. Using shopford.com to track it. Some are tracking these things right down to the rail car they are on. I have not figured that out. Its supposedly shipped 09/03. I cannot imagine it taking more than 7 days to make it to St Louis. This truck has no restrictions that would hold it up for parts either.

Interesting, makes me wonder if the status just isn’t updating on mine cause the last status entry on mine that Ford customer service could see was that it was moved to shipping ramp 5S on the same day that you say yours was shipped and bbyblues maverick was on the same ramp as mine as well

I see no difference since you(me) have no control over any part of the process.

I'd say waiting after it has been built is worse. The wait to get to "in production" status is so long, you kind of don't believe it will ever actually happen, like the whole process is a dream (nightmare). Once yours has been built, now it's suddenly very real, and you know there is a physical truck somewhere out there with your name on it.
