  1. Safety and Self-Help Gear, what do you carry in your Maverick?

I drive close to 100k miles a year across 3 vehicles and only carry five things: A Ravpower jumper with air compressor (they no longer make it for some reason but it works great), a cheap tire repair kit which I keep in the ravpower pouch, a $50 amazon home tool kit that includes sockets, a...
  2. Comma.ai 3x now officially supports the Maverick (Hybrid and Ecoboost) with 360 Assist

I dont know about the 2025 model year as far as compatibilty but you are correct, you no longer would need to touch the steering wheel. I made a 3 hour trip yesterday on a fairly empty highway and shy of passing two trucks, I never touched the wheel. Just sat there and observed. My home is on a...
  3. Comma.ai 3x now officially supports the Maverick (Hybrid and Ecoboost) with 360 Assist

tinted windshields are fine. I've had zero issues I mounted mine possibly too high because it hides behind the rear view, even with the rear view all the way up. but it works just fine and the camera can see me. You end up forgetting it is there pretty quickly, at least my placement allows me...
  4. Comma.ai 3x now officially supports the Maverick (Hybrid and Ecoboost) with 360 Assist

I’ve got about 25k miles on mine and it’s been a lifesaver. The only complaint is that when I’m a few hours into the trip and I start to lean on the center console and my head is basically in the middle of the car rather than on my head rest, it starts barking at me. It’s truly worth it.
  5. Georgia Steelcraft bumper guard (south GA near Tallahassee) $500OBO ***** now $250 for Memorial Day******

Oh that’s my bad. I actually found someone locally who had a Maverick and gave it to them and they actually installed it. But I think you’d have to remove the tow hooks that you probably will never ever use.
  6. Comma.ai 3x now officially supports the Maverick (Hybrid and Ecoboost) with 360 Assist

I installed the stable version of bluepilot today. Are there any parameters you suggest for the best experience?
  7. Comma.ai 3x now officially supports the Maverick (Hybrid and Ecoboost) with 360 Assist

Unreal. For anyone considering one of these, go for it. Install is 3 seconds for the mount and then 3 minutes for the wiring. I didn’t have one of those plastic removal tools but discovered if you slip your fingers between the headliner and the plastic, you can just yank it down. Took maybe...
  8. Comma.ai 3x now officially supports the Maverick (Hybrid and Ecoboost) with 360 Assist

Looks like it’s on sale right now and checking to see if you still like it.
  9. How fussy about washing?

I’ve owned vehicles that were detailed weekly and babied and waxed more than I’d like to admit and I’ve had vehicles that I’ve literally done absolutely nothing with. For me now, I just run it through a car wash that costs $25 a month. Does a good enough job. It’s a ford and it won’t matter if I...
  10. A warning about installing fender flares

The air design ones didn’t have that issue for me. I had to take them off because I hit something that caused me to damage one and it was just too damn expensive to replace just the one but when I was taking them off; there wasn’t anything but clean paint under them.
  11. Georgia Steelcraft bumper guard (south GA near Tallahassee) $500OBO ***** now $250 for Memorial Day******

I tripped over this thing again today. Forgot it was still here. Any takers? If not I’m thinking of welding some mad max type of ridiculousness with it.
  12. Goodbye Maverick after 125k Miles

Enjoy your Subaru. I had a company issued Legacy that I put over 100k miles on and I think the only thing I ever did was change the oil and tires once at around 80k miles. I didn’t love the Legacy only because I had previously had a Pilot and the seating was different (hard on my back) but the...
  13. Can a Ford Protect Extended Warranty Help You Beat Inflation?

If I could find something that was priced the same and had the same size and MPG, I would. But I’m getting Prius mileage with more space and at a lower cost although without that Toyota quality. Nothings perfect, you just try your best.
  14. Can a Ford Protect Extended Warranty Help You Beat Inflation?

$5700 for the maxed out with all the options warranty seems like a lot of money but one can also look at it like anything else, I'm hedging my bets. I've put 100k miles on 4 different Honda Pilot body styles in the course of 8 years and never had any issues. But that was a Honda and this is a...
  15. Georgia Steelcraft bumper guard (south GA near Tallahassee) $500OBO ***** now $250 for Memorial Day******

Dang I forgot I had this thing. How about a 50% off sale for Memorial Day? $250
  16. 2025 Maverick Refresh / Facelift + Lobo ST Street Truck Undisguised & Revealed! (w/ Huge Display Screen)

Cool but I would have preferred the exact same body and learned that they worked out all the kinks and there are no more issues and that all the recalls have parts available for them.
  17. Turned the Page Today... " Goodbye Little Maverick "

Eh. As the owner of an F150 powerboost, I’m not sure I would purchase another Ford. The maverick hybrid made sense because it’s basically a Prius pickup but dealing with the endless problems from ford on both leaves a lot to be desired. With that being said, the vast majority of people’s...
  18. When do we get Maverick AWD Hybrid?

as someone who also owns the F150 Powerboost (hybrid), the mpg is no where close to the maverick and honestly I cannot see anyone debating between the two. The F150 is a monster compared to the maverick. Side by side they look as though the maverick should be inside the bed of the F150. I’d...
