Do you know if they had any issues hardwiring the Mav? By the way, used to live in Wdlnd Hills.

I put the Viofo A129 Pro camera system in two of my cars after my Maverick was hit by an at fault car. I installed the cameras in both cars without a problem and they work great in the Mercedes but my Maverick has been in the body shop for the past month so I didn't get to test it for very long but it worked great for the few times I used it.
No problem with either install. I used add a circuit adapters in the fuse box.

I have separate front and rear dash cams, both the same brand, Arifayz Q3, bought from Amazon. They are very compact and don’t interfere with visibility.

These dash cams do not have monitor screens, but rather use a wi-fi connection to my phone to view and/or download footage through a dedicated app (Peztio).

Since my XLT does not have a 12 volt power port on the back of the console for the rear dash cam, I use a USB Cigarette Lighter Adapter, also from Amazon. The cable is simply routed under and behind the rear seat.

The cameras are very inexpensive and have good resolution for their price.

Another fun benefit of this or any other dash cam is capturing images or videos of cool cars and trucks.

Just wondering if you guys that have cameras ever do anything about the sky high brodozers that tailgate, hit you with high beams, then try to run you off the road while puking out a few pounds of diesel soot, simultaneously flipping you off, all for driving 5 mph under the limit???

I have a camera, but do NOT drive 5 under the speed limit, so the Brodozers don't normally do that to me. I'm usually going about 7-9 over.

Generally, police don't have the time or interest in responding to incidents where someone was driving wrecklessly, speeding, minor road rage, etc. Even if they have already pulled over a person for speeding, they're going to tell you to buzz off if you have footage of that person swerving and 'almost' doing something minutes prior.

They become interested if there is an accident especially if someone is injured or killed, or significant property damage occurred.

Drive a reasonable speed, ignore idiots, and live your life. If they hit a vehicle, a road sign, or shoot at you, the footage is useful. Otherwise it's an even bigger waste of everyone's time than you doing 5mph under the limit and accelerating 0-60 in 90 seconds.

Agree, however if it's done properly, the DIY ACC would be exactly like factory installed. No reason to not be paying attention behind the wheel (no matter what the Tesla and other fanbois say!)

I don't remember honestly, I had installed a similar one in a different truck before so I kind of knew the basics.
