OP, I can see where you'd think the Blackwood was based off the Ranger, but it was indeed based off the F150. The difference is the Blackwood and the Mark LT were just based off of different generations of F150: the Blackwood being the 10th gen (or the "Jellybean") and the Mark LT being the 11th gen. I can hear that 5.4 Triton exhaust manifold tick from a mile away... 😂
Thankfully the Blackwood didn’t suffer from that manifold leak issue. The Mark LT however…

Ford learned that Lincoln buyers aren't interested in pickup trucks and the same level of luxury and features has a market for Limited F-150's.

Right! The Intech in the Blackwood was a terrific motor. Both in its 4.6 and 5.4 variants.

But yeah, I think every 5.4 11th gen I've been around has that dang leak 😂

Tony, hasn't that dealership been closed? I thought Reineke's bought it and closed it. Did you buy your Mav in Findlay? I bought mine in Tiffin where I reside.
I am an old man too. LOL!
The Cole's Dealership is closed in Ada, Ohio. I think that the building is/was scheduled by new owners to become a micro brewery. I moved out of the area about a year ago.
I bought my Maverick out of Bob Boyd Ford in Lancaster Ohio through Bob Boyd Lincoln in Columbus, Ohio. A neighbor recommended Carey Ford but it was a minimum of 6 weeks to get one. I went this route since The Famous Reineke Dealership(the guy with the pencil behind his ear) offered me $10,000.00 less for my Lincoln Corsair than Bob Boyd Lincoln in Columbus.
Nice Mini Truck, just hope the 12v battery is sufficient to serve the vehicle. Why would Ford or anybody put a 370 CCA battery in a vehicle that resides in Ohio?
Sorry for the sermon but I do like my Mini-truck. It rides just as good as my old Corsair. I drove a 2025 Escape(same platform) and I wouldn't take one if they gave me one.
Mini-trucks rule!!!

In all due respect: If my memory serves me well, The Lincoln Mark LT was based off of the Ford F-150. The Lincoln Blackwood was based on the Ranger. I owned a Lincoln Marl LT and almost bought a Blackwood.
They were both based upon the F-150 platform with the Blackwood only being produced in the US in 2002, and the LT later released in 2006 - 2014.

If they stuck to the then Lincoln Motor Company mindset it would be neat to see a luxury compact truck with a larger engine. As quickly as people forget the Blackwood is an F-150 they also forget that the 4V Intech 5.4L was a banshee of a motor and the basis for the Cobra R. I know it would be a ridiculous market for Lincoln so I don't expect it to exist but I do really enjoy the Lincoln Corsair and had considered one until they took away the 2.3 engine option. I do agree though, bring a Platinum trim in to keep it simple and call it a day. They already have a Platinum Ranger in Australia as well so the branding would be something they are not likely to give up simply to give Lincoln more options, they're hard set on targeting ultra luxury lifestyles which really doesn't crossover into too many truck owners. Wives want enclosed cargo space and quiet cabins to yap in
I agree, a Lincoln Mav should have the 2.3 in it and or maybe the PHEV option.

Hell, yeah, let Ford make a Lincoln version so they can gouge the living shit out of people and maybe they’ll lower the price of the Maverick
