If any one is interested. Here’s my latest video that features me filling the Maverick almost to the max with split firewood.

I would say you could fit 4, 4x8 stacks of 3” cut firewood! Or half that if you don’t want it mounded to the sky like I did. 😉

In my life experience a rick is 24" sticks stacked 4' high and 8' long. Two of those ricks equals a Cord. I lived in the San Luis Valley of Colorado from 1980 to 1988 and we depended on wood for heat. The record low at that time was -51° F, we only got down to -42° F while we lived there. Global warming I guess. We burned 18 cords per winter using the deminsions above. Most fire places and older cast iron stoves can utilize 24" sticks. I had an airt tight stove that 18 to 20" sticks worked the best, so I adjusted the length a bit. Had a Dodge W-150 with a 8' bed. I built side boards 14" tall and loaded to the top of the cab, that was a cord. Okay, we cut in the National Forest and we were allowed to cut all we could stand, provided the trees were dead or dead standing, No healthy trees. Later we had to obtain a free permit, and later yet we had to pay $15 for the permit. I don't burn wood anymore, I graduated from that (I got old).
Later we lived in SE Kansa and cut some oak, post oak, pent oak, hackberry, elm, whatever. That was green, not seasoned, very wet, very heavy. My half ton Dodge could only haul about a rick. So what your Maverick can haul really depends on how much water is in each stick. My old Dodge 4x4 had over load springs, so when it squated to the overloads, I stopped loading. I don't know what the indicator is for my Maverick, but I don't heat with wood anymore. 😄

Thanks for sharing! And I agree wood can vary a lot in weight depending on moisture content and species. 👍
I found where I had already posted on this. I apologize for my redundancy, I am old.😆😆
