Its nice having something I can actually get more than a bag or 2 of wood at a time for spring/summer/fall campfire pit fire outback of the house. Dont know where to get it yet locally but I will find some lol.

If you got this truck to be a haul truck yes you have made a poor decision.. but if youre like me and got the Maverick because it is a small truck that actually gets decent MPG has AWD and has a bed that can pretty much do everytthing I want it to and is the reason I got it(i dont need to tow or haul BIG loads id need a full size truck for) I want a small bed to do almost exactly what you see people do... stuff I couldnt do with my Subaru Forester.. Ive brought home 800 lbs of rock and 700 lbs of Crusher run of the driveway, ive brought home a freezer that i got from Sams Club.. couldnt have even fit in the Forester, Yesterday 4/1 took 2 loads of cleared out spring time cleanup brush/shrubbery to the local drop off place again something I cant do with a SUV outside of buying a trailer, Took about 250 lbs of ruined meat and refrigerator stuff and a old computer chair to the dump when the fridge broke.. Didnt need a bigger truck for any of this.. (and of course and im not a trucker and dont do trailers hate messing with the turning them around in narrow confines nor do i want to practice and or prefect that.. most i do is back a kayak into a spot at the boat launch and im horrid at that)In realty, the bed‘s too small to be a good hauler of anything
Nice! I’m with you, the trailer is awesome! Although I do wish it was a tad wider. Not a wood hauling picture but I absolutely love my CargoMax trailer. One of the best ones I have owned so far. Had it for about 6 years now and it is so easy to move around at 290 lbs. Has a very sturdy aluminum frame and can easily take through my gate into my backyard for storage.![]()

yes, the issue I am having once in a while is the inner fender well. It is only a couple of inches but the rest of the trailer is wider. But overall, it is a small disadvantage vs all the advantages.Nice! I’m with you, the trailer is awesome! Although I do wish it was a tad wider.
At 1600 lbs it should be 16" pieces so 3 rows about 32" tall or 4th row on tailgate with custom bed extender. My Mav door sticker says 1365 pounds. Minus myself and some equipment I bet I’ve been close or slightly over cap. A face cord of green (not dry) red oak is about 1600lbs. Granted, the Mav can’t quite fit a face cord in the bed.
Looks like firewood fun to me! Were you bringing it home or cleaning up around the home?
I find it helps if I stick the tailgate halfway down. You can get a little more back there and mound it a little higher.Bring it home.

That looks good! I’ve considered building something like that or buying a bed extender but so far haven’t ran into too many situations that I needed it. But it sure would come in handy!I’ve posted this before but it is a diy bed extender. It gives a real six foot bed and it’s sturdy. Originally made for my f150, cut down to fit the Mav.
Made from aluminum ladder and shelf material. Goes on and off in five minutes.

How does the Maverick Tow Your Mustang?I've stopped treating my little trucklet like something that's fragile. I've been testing its limits. So far so good.
