Mavericks are safe! It's totaled but I'm unscathed

Hi All,

My 2022 Mav Lariat Hybrid(took delivery 24JAN2022) was totaled with me in ; a car was waiting for me to pass before turning left but the young driver behind them smashed into us in a crazy simultaneous 3 car total collision. She is charged but the point of this post is to showcase the Mav safety. I walked away unscathed with minor airbag propellant burns on my left forearm. I bought a new 2026 Mav 2 days later!

Needless to say, glad you're ok. One of the concerns people have about the Maverick is how well it holds up in an accident. Concern probably arises due to the Maverick's price point. Good to know your post and others I've seen here completely dispel any issues about the Maverick's safety. Best of travels with your new Maverick.

How many miles were on the ‘22?
I have a 22 Lariat Hybrid that just hit 30,000. Awesome little truck. I said if it goes, I’m getting another Mav. Glad she kept you safe.

They are engineered to absorb impact all over the vehicle while keeping occupant areas safe. You weren't hurt so all the systems worked as designed. It looks much better than the Space X that impacted the moon.
