I view extended warranties car insurance. You pray you never need it, but when you do, you are really glad you have it.
I'm only referring to factory-backed extended warranties. I would never buy a 3rd-party warranty.
Never threw any codes, never experienced a loss of power, and fuel economy remained consistent throughout ownership.
You can always find people who has had issues with a car, and you can always find people who had trouble-free ownership. It doesn't mean there is an issue.

I had a 2017 Escape for 10 years & 125,000 miles, never had an issue with using start/stop. This includes heavy city driving in the NC summer with the AC on.
My starter never failed, and I only had to replace the battery after 6 years which is pretty typical.

Get FORSCAN Lite for your phone and an ODBII connector. There are several PIDs you can monitor that won't throw a code, but might help the dealership figure out a place to start.

I only use the alert function of Lane Keep Assist. A gentle vibration and I know to correct. I also turned ACC off because I like to time my passes of slower cars.
