Hybrid has no "gas cap" like older tech vehicles.I once had a CEL for a loose gas cap. The fix was free!
It would be kind of self defeating for them not to be able to scan for you!Some part dealers like auto zone will check the code with an OBDII scanner for free hopping to sell you parts.

I like it when the CEL says, O2 sensor bad.there are a lot of simple, cheap things that can cause the CEL.
I had it thrown for a $5 PCV valve.
