I circled “if equipped” in red.
Not every vehicle is equipped with the electric lumber so I presume that's why they used that verbiage since this page is referring only to the power seats. I think we can all agree that unless you have power seats you're not getting adjustable lumbar even though the website and order guides indicate otherwise. I'm not that concerned with lumbar support personally, but it does make me wonder what other things I'm expecting may not be on my Maverick.

Hope you're not expecting rear defrost. :ROFLMAO:

Well, that's not listed in the order guide or the website so no, I'm not expecting that. Is that something people were expecting? Maybe I missed that.

Ford could give a few superfans early access to vehicles and sort out all these issues in their configurator, order guides, etc. I am a pessimist so I think Ford deliberately does these things to add confusion to the ordering process and which features come in each package. If that is not the case, it is complete and total incompetence, which I think may actually be worse.
I don't know that "pessimist" is the right word.

Launching a new model takes a long time and a lot of work - involving a lot of detail. Things constantly change, as well. So some small stuff like this slips through the cracks as they finally get to the production stage. They probably intended to include this, but somewhere close to start of production ended up scrapping it. And it slipped through by still being in the builder.

It's not a conspiracy.

How comfortable (uncomfortable?) are the manual seats with the nonadjustable lumbar supports?

No idea. I don't have the Maverick yet. But I hardly ever use the power lumbar support in our other vehicle, or in any of our past vehicles. So I don't anticipate there being an issue.

I sat in a Lariat trainer in all spots (driver side had power seat) and all were equally comfortable. I test drove a XLT and seats were supportive and comfortable. We have a 2018 F-150 and all feel about the same to me. I'm keeping my Jeep GC with power adjustable driver lumbar for long trips and vacations, but I have also done 600 miles per day 3 days in a row in the F-150 twice now and it didn't even hurt my lower back with multiple spine and muscle issues.

Not worrying about XL seats in the least as a DD and shorter vacation trips.

Maybe Ford will include two of these in the bag with our free FITS cupholders.

It is a conspiracy but you've only touched the tip of the iceberg. It's not Ford or politicians or the scientists. It's the true puppet masters behind all these conspiracies.

It's the Tin Foil Manufacturers Association.

The Order Guide shows "with Lumbar". It does not list as "manual" or "adjustable".

● Seat, Front
— 6-Way Manual Adjustable Driver w/Lumbar
— 4-Way Manual Adjustable Passenger w/ Lumbar
— Bucket Seats
— Cloth Trim
— Front Floor Console w/ Armrest & Storage Bin
— Seat Back Map Pocket, Passenger
This argument is complete BS as the Bronco Sport and Escape which have the same seats, are not listed this way like the Maverick. Ford screwed up. There is no other way around it.

FWIW, the order guide is technically an internal document so the wording probably isn't as specific because it's meant for employees not customers. The website however shows "manual lumbar" which implies that it's adjustable otherwise what would be "manual"?
You adjust it this way -
1) Take the manual out of the glove box
2) Put it behind your lower back
3) Properly position it for "manual" lumbar support.

Obviously, this is what they intended.

It’s all in the disclosure on the website…. “Ford reserves the right to change product specifications, pricing and equipment at any time without incurring obligations. Your Ford dealer is the best source of the most up-to-date information on Ford vehicles.

You are correct. No manual lumbar support on any trim. And on the XLT lux and lariat trims, the seats are marketed as 8 way power driver but it is only 6 way power

Why do you say that is only 6-way?
