I'm sorry as much as I care about my wife. She is not getting my car regardless of what it is.
You want one go buy it. She has her own money and gets what she wants. :)

(THIS! Craig wins awesome husband award of the day!)

I didn't take my usual approach of "it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission" when placing my order for the Maverick, unlike my other cars. Found it while perusing YouTube, realized MANY videos later that this truck would be a perfect fit for both me and my husband (ahem, cough...mostly me) showed him some videos and took a look at the dealership, and...holy crap...he agreed to let me order one! He LOVES his F150 and won't drive anything but a truck since making the switch from car/SUV. He hates driving my manual trans Accord, and having a 4 door truck will just cover the bases in terms of needs.

I could offer my wife $500 cash and she will refuse to drive any of my vehicles, but her Mazda Cx5. I had a turbo CX5 and she would not even test drive it. Works for me because my vehicles stay clean and we usually take her CX5 for situations she would need to drive.

Hey RobChills, it's your manager/VP at that one company we both work at, gonna have to ask you to start coming in again. We're also gonna have to ask you to bring an open-bedded vehicle, so if you had a Pacifica or something that's not gonna work. It'll make sense when you get here.

Thanks for all you do, expect a pizza party!
This is hilarious!!

Gentleman , You guys need to think this thru ... My wife said ahhh I see you ordered a truck, ya babe! It is a utility vehicle basically for hauling mulch and dragging the boat around. I will only be going on short trips as I don't think it is going to be comfortable it was only 30k new very hard riding no suspension to speak of ,crappy radio , no power anything really . Oh yea I heard from a few guys it is quite noisy and a little drafty too. I don't care like I said it is a utility truck. Her response : don't sound like I will be driving that! adding: Oh BTW when is my Mach E coming? you see I got it handled gents :):):)

Great story! I totally understand why she feels that way. As soon as it's possible, put a deposit down and order another Mav. Then, when it comes in trade-in the Pacifica and drive home "Your" new Mav!! Or, switch it around a little and get an F-150 Lightning, Tesla Cybertruck, Rivian R1T, Hummer EV, or Silverado EV.

Just wait until 2023 orders open up. Put your name down and wait 11 months for it to come in. And Voila, the Mrs. will have a new Maverick about 18 months from now.
Unfortunately that is not how it works, his wife owns the Maverick now and he will have to wait 11 months to get one again. This is how it works in the REAL world.

I let my wife borrow the Maverick this week since her decked out FWD Pacifica has a flat. Rather than limit her to 50Mph on the donut, I decided to loan her the truck because I have the luxury of working from home.

No she didn’t scratch it, break it, nor ruin anything for that matter. The problem is….She doesn’t want her minivan back!!!

Wife: “I can’t believe this is a truck! It drives and handles so well and I feel so confident in it. It drove like there wasn’t even any snow on the ground…and since you work from home, I think I want to use your truck from now on.”

I should have ordered three of them. One for me, one for my wife, and a third to re-sell for a profit. I actually had some guy in a delivery truck pull up next to me at a light and honk his horn. When I put the window down, he said, "That's a beautiful truck. I love the color (area 51)."

In my case, the mistake is that since I have no maverick (july hybrid) I have been driving more and more my wife car.
She ordered and will receive this month a new car and I am with her "leftover" to drive.

Yeah, if I ever get hitched my wife is not getting my Mustang and the Maverick is a work truck so legally she can't have it.

"You don't want me to get in trouble with the IRS, do you hon? I don't want to be like Wesley Snipes."

Thanks ❤

Wife may ask what's the different between 4WD and AWD? Heated / Cooled seats or what comes with vehicle. Moon Roof. Suspension. Normally I recommend a trailer package because most and or some some with additional engine/ transmission cooling but not all. I'm out of the color scheme. She gets what she wants.
