I just purchased a 2024 Maverick XLT with the 2.0 turbo engine. The window sticker says I'm supposed to be getting a combined 25 MPG but on the dash when I'm driving it, it says I'm only getting 13 MPG? I am only driving it around town and the only highway driving I've done is home from the dealership. I was irritated by the engine stop and have shut it off a few times but not enough that it would make any difference? I have less than 300 miles on it . And for the rude jerk, this is my first time ever on a site like this and judging from how many post's you have this must be your whole life and you could try being helpful instead of being an ass.
2.0l awd, 4K tow. I’m also running 255-55-18’s (heavier and much wider than stock wheel and tire combo) I’m at about 1500 miles and have been averaging 19-22mpg city and always shut off the stupid auto shutoff. Menopausal spouse always has the a/c on too. Hiway driving I’m getting 28mpg usually 80mph and a/c running.
check your tire pressures and leave it in “normal” mode. A gentle right foot should keep you over 20mpg. And as others have said the computer will adjust with more mileage.

I suppose it's possible but you would have to have really bad driving habits or something is faulty. Pull a plug and if you see black, take it in. My overall average is 32 mpg, so like the others who have responded, I agree, something is amiss.

I am not sure why your mileage is so horrible. Just finished a 3000 mile cross country trip with my 2022 Maverick 2.0 across all terrain and my average according to the dash readout was 32.9 mpg. Experience tells me that it is about 1.5 mpg or so heavy. The actual calculated mileage was 31.3. I would run a few tanks of gas through it and calculate mileage when filling up. See how it goes, good luck.

I have 2024 ecoboost model with 3400 miles on it and so far in combined driving of about 65% highway and 35% city with AC on I'm getting 30mpg.

Just did 3000 mi trip in my 23 Tremor, happy with mileage, mileage per tank full up on paper. Interstate driving 75+-, 28 mph always, did touch 30mpg on 2 lane roads at 55 mph, . Gas gauge very very accurate on fuel left as I pushed it and it took 15.6 on fill up, figured had 14 mi left. About 8000 mi on it now as due for another oil change.

Thank you! Still trying to get through the manual too. It's my first new vehicle ever and I have a lot to learn.
Update?

I can't imagine expecting much from the first 300 miles but hopefully you got it sorted out and are seeing normal numbers now.

Also, look into the auto start disablers if that's not something you enjoy. I've had one on numerous vehicles and love them.

I actually don't count my first two tanks due to idle time and engine learning etc etc but below is the average for me so far on 245/65R17's in Montana.

Not sure who annoyed you enough to call someone out in your first ever post on this forum either, but some of us with high numbers are helpful or try to be at least 60% of the time ;)

Welcome to the forum and enjoy your Maverick. Great color choice btw.
