In Ohio but willing to go about anywhere to get one. Retired so that isn’t a problem. Would like a green xl or xlt awd (actually for my son - he was in a pretty severe accident and feels that awd might be beneficial on his next vehicle in wet weather). I think I convinced him he doesn’t need the 4k towing package, so that makes it a little easier to find. Can get an X plan from my nephew or a friend that works at the Lima engine plant. Waiting to see if Ford puts out another friends/family/etc deal that might be better than haggling with a dealer. he doesn’t mind financing with a dealer if that helps solidify a better deal. wants the hybrid instead of the eco boost. Any help would be appreciated. He also joined the farm bureau (its only $20 in Illinois vs $120 in Ohio), so he will need to wait 4 weeks before he can use that discount.

In regards to AWD - it only truly helps you get going so if his accident was one where he lost control at speed it is unlikely that would have made a significant difference.

However - AWD is a must for me in my vehicles.

They are not making green anymore last I heard. Or will stop soon.

Best of luck finding a Maverick for your son. I don't believe you can use the farm bureau discount if you are using a A,Z or X plan it's one of the other unless Ford changed the employee programs. I would think a fixed plan /price would be better than trying to strike a deal once you find the truck you are looking for. Just my opinion either way again best of luck

I stacked X plan, private offer, and farm bureau no issue

Yeah really, if you are in the habit of outdriving your grip, with FWD you hit the tree head on, with RWD you hit it ass on, and with AWD you wrap around it sideways.

We have an XL AWD hybrid in Green that is $3k off. Was $33,380, now $30,380. We can ship to you or you can fly into Wichita, Kansas and we can pick you up.

Thanks but I would rather have no awd and probably an xlt. The green is my first choice but any color other than white or black is preferred. Thank you. Also is the farm bureau credit available?

I'm a wee bit confused here.
The title of the thread and your first post that I quoted and underlined below. You said, you were looking for Green AWD XL or XLT for your son because of an accident.
Tim at long MacArthur Ford said he had Eruption Green, AWD, XL at $3000 off list.

To make myself more clear, we are probably looking for 2 mavericks. One for my son (who wants an xlt AWD and one for me who would prefer a FWD maverick in any color other than black or white. Sorry for the confusion. I would prefer an xlt myself as would my son, but i could probably go for an xl like they have if it has the upgraded wheels. Dont care for the steelies

For what it's worth.....you don't have to wait 4 weeks to get the Farm Bureau discount. I only had to wait till the end of the month that I joined (which was only 6 days) and I was able to use it. I live in AZ and also joined Illinois FB because of the cost. I used the discount(s) on all 3 of my Maverick purchases. Best of luck finding your Mavericks!

We don't have any XLTs. We have plenty of XL hybrid in FWD and AWD at www.longmcarthur.com. Farm Burearu is available with proof of membership.
