Interesting tidbit: The Ford OEM Michelin Primacys are made to specific Ford-OEM specs. Their tread depth is 8.5mm verse the exact same non-Ford spec tire is like 11mm. This is a common ploy by OEMs to mount name brand tires on new vehciles but save $$$ as they buy in bulk...deeper tread costs more.
Yes starter tires. Find this practice abhorrent.

That's the same thing Sears did with their store brand appliances. Get brand name companies to make products using Sears standards.

It's kind of like when you buy an new printer and it comes with a "Starter" Toner Cartridge. It will only print 100-150 pages. Then you have to buy a real Toner Cartridge.

I have around 4/32" with 20k miles on my OEM Michelin Primacy. I haven't noticed traction problems or hydroplaning in the rain yet, but I'm a little concerned about winter performance.

The first edition ecoboost I originally had used a 235/65-17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W, same tire that's on the Tremor. That's a 29" tall tire compared to 28.6ish for the 225/60-18 or 225/65-17. I am probably going with a 255/55-18 on my stock 18s next, and I hope I don't need to install spacers. A safer play is a 245/55-18 instead.

Colin,
You should be just fine. I have 265/60/18 on mine, completely stock suspension, no rubbing at all.

that's a big 'ol tire! nice.

I'm going to install eibach lowering springs, literally have them here at my desk just waiting for a cooler day. but the eibach proof-of-concept Maverick used a 29" tall 255 also, I think it was a 20" wheel. I'm pretty confident in the 255/55-18, but there is some variation in tire models of the same size.

For those that have had their Mavericks, if you have the OEM Michelin Primacy tires, how many miles are you looking at them lasting. I would like to replace them with at tire with a little more off road tread, but want to wear these out first. Interested in your thoughts........
40 k with on time rotations at 5k I do maint every 5k

These tires offer a great ride. Smooth and quiet. They will last to 40K.

Really like the look of these on your truck. Being that my truck is a hybrid I may use 235/65/18's instead for a little less rolling resistance while getting the tall sidewall. Your tires remove much of that wheel well gap, while potentially raising the rear a bit in case it gets rear ended. It may help against a total.

Lloyd,
Thank you for your comment.
I have this set up planned for my Hybrid. Wheels are from Mustang Mach E (a little larger offset).
And of course the best tire on the Market!

It's a good looking wheel, and I have no problem with that center cap. If an electric wagon can identify as a Mustang, so can your Maverick.
