Just finished a long vacation trip in my 2023 EB Lariat. Full loaded bed and back seat at the vehicle handled perfectly and the 30+ mpg was a decent welcome too. Spent 7 days driving from New Jersey to Florida and around Florida up to Savannah Georgia. My Maverick is pushing 3 years old now and the only issue l have had were 2 recalls both done by Ford Mobile Service in my driveway. Couldn’t be happier With this little truck since it was a retirement gift to myself. Did really need a full size truck so went with the small size and fuel economy instead. Found the EcoBoost to be a solid performing vehicle. Happy Trails Fellow Maverick Owners. 👍

My 2022 is currently at 16.9k miles and overall mpg is at 28.9. Just wondering what mpg you are getting overall?
Around the same. City varies 24-27 mpg. Highway slightly more 30-35 mpg. 35 was the highest I ever got on highway.

FWIW, I'm similar to you. Generally bought my Maverick because I WAS retired, but had to get a new vehicle (long story). It's nice having something that can haul some things. It's not like I need 20 sheets of plywood. Plus, it fits in the garage!

I also have a 23 Eco Lariat now with 38k. I've done 2 trips from Florida to Ohio. Mileage was decent. Mostly around town, I'm getting 25 mpg now. Sure, there are things I don't care about (wireless phone charging) and things I wish it had (better driver's seat), but overall, I'm generally happy.

My 2023 Eco XLT was also a retirement present to myself. The longest trip I have taken so far was Chicago to Tallahassee FL. Ran great and still does. I only have 24K miles on it however, and the factory warranty expires in another 6 months. I am on the fence about getting the Ford ext warranty. Usually I roll the dice with warranties but with the Maverick I need to check into it further. From what I have noticed, the reliability has been pretty good so far. Anyone have a difference of opinion ?

Same here and I am able to put it in the garage along side of my Wife’s car and still have room to get around it! With my Dodge Ram I had to park it all the way up against the wall and then move it every time I needed to get something out of the garage. We did a 2500 mile road trip to San Antonio in it and my Wife had to admit that the ride was comfortable!! She hated riding in the Ram!!

Might as well add some more. I got my 2025 Lariat Hybrid just after retirement, as my (hopefully) last vehicle. It turns 1 year old in 10 days and I only have 10K miles on it. Took 1 trip from Atlanta area to NJ and around upstate NY. Vehicle did fine with no problems.

My truck 27 months old, with 8,400 miles. In past did trip from Houston to Florida, trips to Louisiana twice. No complaints. Comfy. Fuel economy was great.
