Long Term Parking

In places where it snows like Montana it is common that you may have a car that is not driven in the snow, a summer only car. Not sure that is what is going on here but for what ever reason a car being parked for a few months every year happens a lot.

I will be parking my Mav on Oct/27 in Montana until Dec/19, weather will be a mixed bag could be average of 0 with lows of -20 !! is there a solar dash charger i can use to keep up my battery? will the constant trickle affect the main drive battery ??

What about those solar panel chargers you can set in dash? They make them w 12v plug ins and also pig tails for tenders

The solar panels have already been discussed in this thread.
They don't help with snow on the windshield. The car is parked in an airport in Montana
I'm asking for updates from the OP on a situation that has already transpired.

I can report that i connected the battery and after a minute of clicks and such the Mav started up ! i had no problem at all , the weather since Oct/28 was not that cold ! so after i started it up i am waiting for the engine to start !!! DUH its a hybrid !! we will see what the next parking is it will be from Jan/8 to Mar/25

Sounds great. So you ended up disconnecting the 12 volt battery?
If you do the same thing. I think you'll be fine the next go round.

yes i disconnected the 12v battery ! i will post in March
