You know you could have reprogrammed your keypad code to your preferred iphone one right?Yes, I have an Ecoboost FX4 and every time I pull up to our properties gate this happens.
I pull up, get out with the engine running (key start), open the gate and return to a locked truck.
I think, maybe, the other doors aren’t locking but wouldn’t swear to it.
I thought I was fat fingering the lock-unlock button when grabbing the door handle, now I am thinking I wasn’t.
I changed my iPhone access code to my keypad code, I have used it several times since. Very aggravating.

Could it be something about your property if it happens every time? Had an issue with the trunk on my Focus popping open on the thruway every time I drove past one location. It was annoying at 65 mph. My mechanic did something to solve the issue. Whatever was in that spot was putting out a signal that triggered my trunk release.Yes, I have an Ecoboost FX4 and every time I pull up to our properties gate this happens.

OK great, lets see if we actually see a response back from Ford on this. (if there not busy taking AM radios out of new vehicles)Hey there. Can you send over a message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer? I would like to take a closer look at this lock issue your Maverick is experiencing.
The name "Karen" would probably be better....Maybe you should name your truck "Christine?"
Best practice is to not leave your keys in the car if you get out. That said, if for some reason I'm going to get out of the car with the keys inside (my driveway maybe?), I roll the window down in case something like this ever happens. An interesting side note: my coupe will not allow me to shut the trunk if the key fob is in there; now that's a smart carTwice now my Maverick (hybrid) has locked me out with the key in the ignition. The first time the key was off. I got out and closed the door, the second it closed I heard the doors lock. This week the engine was on and I got out and closed the door and they locked again. This time it was down pouring. Luckily I have a keypad to unlock the doors. Has anyone else experienced this?

Ford has been great on this. Several private messages. Follow up phone call to discuss the problem and the dealer called to arrange service.OK great, lets see if we actually see a response back from Ford on this. (if there not busy taking AM radios out of new vehicles)

you are most likely bumping the button shown in the picture with the palm of your hand which locks the one door!I am having the same issue. Key in ignition with truck running, get out close the door, come back driver door locked but not the other doors. This also happens if the key is in ignition but not running. Also happens if key is just in the truck console.
Hi Carolyn! I can look into your Maverick's lock concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Maverick's VIN?I am having the same issue. I remember doing this on a fancy Mercedes-Benz one time, sure enough I close the door. The vacuum assist pulled the door in and it rolled the window up on me with the keys in the car. Locked of course.Best practice is to not leave your keys in the car if you get out.
