only reason i think its the 57, it already exists as the 7 speed and the lobo is a huge parts bin truck, they havent modified anything to stick on it really

well considering the stock 8 speed is already limits the tq from the ecoboost and the fact they "want" people to mod it and track it giving a beefier trans is a good way to backup those claims

and everyone is hoping for a tune from ford and the 57 has plenty of headroom to handle that

The 8F57 fits and works well. As previously stated the Maverick uses parts from other models, hence why the 2.3 bolts right in and with tuning runs great. The 8f57 also bolts right in. Now wait until someone someone drops a 2.7 ecoboost engine in.....

I am looking at the module codings for a 2025 Maverick LOBO right now and it has the same transmission as the every other maverick. The "8F35"

yes, it has a liquid cooled ptu and torque vectoring rdu, same as the Tremor.

damn, I see it now on this VIN (3FTCW8TA8SRA65146). Pretty shitty if they are giving Lobo the same trans as regular Ecoboost. Guess Lobo RS is coming next year with the 8F57

I expected nothing less. Lobo '7 speed quick shift transmission' still has value because of the paddle shifters, but I bet any 8F35 Maverick with a tune that includes TCM optimization achieves the same thing excluding the paddle shifters of course. (And a 2025 Tremor would have the paddle shifters, also.)

Guess Lobo RS is coming next year with the 8F57

I'd love for that to happen, but I seriously doubt it will since we have not seen any test mules yet.

test mules have consistently been seen on the road 6-12+ months in advance of new model releases.

I'm still going to inhale the copium for the 57 lol. If it gets the regular one but a gear skipped there is no chance for a Ford tune.
