It's 100% zero emission car and light trucks by 2035. 2030 in Washington. I don't think California has the out of state ban planned for then yet like Washington but probably will add it. And yes they can ban licensing out of state new cars that don't meet the requirement. Several other states are rushing to imitate California. Question becomes what if industry can't make enough of them, the electric grid can't handle them yet.

How would they KNOW if you drive an out of state car. I know people who do this. They use a friends address and register there car in that state with that state address. You drive and live in CA. NO way they can stop this as the state would have no clue.

CA with rolling brownouts and blackouts on hot days and they will be all EV Yea sure it will happen.

Just wondering if Ford will focus Mav hybrid orders to those states. Some EV manufacturers are doing that - to push towards the requirement and because they know sales are highest in those states.

Drivers license and registration address plus insurance address. Eastern Washington and Oregon want to break away and become part of Idaho just like eastern California tried. I could see people in those states buying ICE in Idaho especially ranchers where EVs won't work for their needs.
