Has anyone tried this light up Ford logo on their grill? (Someone must have.) What do you think of it? Was it easy to install? Thanks.

Interesting group...some want the black-out emblems so you can't tell what brand truck they're driving and some want the brand logo to light up! To each his own.

I had a F-150 following me yesterday that had the lighted Ford logo installed on the grill so I had a chance to see it up close - it definitely stood out being it was still dark out but convinced me it wasn’t for me, glad I didn’t order this and now I’m no longer curious but I agree to each his or her own.

Try to see one in person before pulling the trigger. IMHO, these look cheap as hell once istalled.

I've seen one driving towards me on the highway on what was probably an F-150 and it looked OK. And the other plus I see is that it makes the vehicle distinguishable driving towards you at night, useful when picking up someone. And, it's a use for my Ford points.

I saw an F-150 with this a few nights ago, I don't know if it was the Putco one or if there are others available but my first thought was that it looked much too bright.

I don't have any objective measurements but I remember thinking it would be better at 1/2 to 1/4 of the brightness. To some extent, this might have been because it's a small glowing object in an area of multiple square feet that is otherwise black.

Also like cannon said, it just looked kind of...maybe not cheap...but kitschy, unrefined. That might have been in part because of how bright it was, but I also think the (stock) Ford emblem has an unnecessary bulkiness / bulging to it that I don't like, and making it glow brings more attention to it. The logo itself is fine, I just don't like that it sticks out like a giant wart (and I know, it's to fit a camera).

I like it, but unless Ford is willing to pay me for advertising their brand or give it to me for free I will keep my money in my wallet. Now a Maverick steer horn logo would be a different story.....
