Need to drill 2 small holes for the bottom screws. Plate frames will get broke. I speak from experience.

I've been using the Weathertech clearcovers for years. They are tough, never had a rock or piece of debris crack one while traveling on the interstate. Keeps the plates clean. Gives a sleeker look as the front of the cover is completely flush and there are covers that cover the screws. Each cover comes with stainless steel screws.

Easiest answers are the obvious ones
1. Don’t go through a car wash, ever
2. Remove the front license plate (be a rebel, as I’m sure your response will be it’s required)
Back in the day I used to put a 1949 Vermont tag on the front of my Challenger T/A for grins and chuckles. I used to get pulled over all the time for it and made to put the right plate on right then and there. Hahahaha. Maybe times have changed. LOL.

I dont use a frame on mines, but i also haven't tried to run my mav through a carwash. Just make sure the plate is flat and flush in the bracket, dont give the brushes something to grab.

Might be overkill, but you could also try sanding the edge of the plates. They're really rough so it might be latching onto the brush like velcro.
