Front license plate

A lot of times dealers will throw the mounting bracket under the back seat as a loose part. Installing the OEM bracket does require permanently damaging the front bumper cover.

Upon closer inspection, I found two indentations where the screws presumably would go. Alas, they were not a perfect fit with my plate. Easy to drill the needed holes.

It attaches with plastic rivets, not screws.

Not for nothing and it will likely never hurt, but that does cover part of your cooling system.

I purchased mine and bought two (2) 6.5mm drill bits (needed to make the holes) , and a "Plastic" Pop-rivet" gun 6.5mm Metric M35 Cobalt Steel Extremely Heat Resistant Twist Drill Bit of 2pcs with Straight Shank to Cut Through Hard Metals Such as Stainless Steel and Cast Iron, 5% Cobalt M35 Grade HSS-CO - Amazon.com (rivets were too big in diameter for my standard pop-rivet gun). Amazon.com: Keadic 132 Pcs 10 Sizes Plastic Rivet Assortment Kit with Poly Rivet Gun and Free Rivet Puller Remover for Automotive and More : Automotive (pop-rivet gun kit from Amazon was cheaper than the one from Lowes) from Amazon and followed the directions in the box (that the plate holder came with). Dealership should put this on for you. Had mine done there on pickup when my plates came in. Too all of 10 minutes to put on.

Forget the front license plate. Even though it is required in Illinois I have left it off with no problem. I've notice lots of TESLA's with no front plate (which would look really ugly if installed) and I think the local police and sheriffs departments have decided to let the "no front license plate" slide.

I live in Maryland and they won’t stop you for no front plate, but if I park in D.C. the folks there will ticket you for no front MD plate-Go Figure!

I agree with you. Mine was “lost” due to earlier supply chain constraints. Now it is back ordered and may not arrive

I got a cheap Amazon F150 and mounted it to the shroud. Easy as: trim one hole on mount, unscrew, place, re-screw.

Have yet to see any new corvettes since 2009 have them, any Ferrari’s or any other high end sports cars or many many ev brands!
