Lettering on the Maverick stamp on the tailgate

1. Vinyl ?
2. 3M Ridgid ?

I'm thinking of putting lettering on my tailgate as well, but I will wait until I actually get my truck, and maybe use my Ford points. Has anyone purchased and installed the Ford Black Platinum letters? I'm thinking the black would look better on my CO truck. Also, are they thick/hard? I'm not interested in the vinyl ones.

I think I got the same kind, just on eBay. Got mine in orange and pair very well with a velocity blue xlt

Yes they are painted hard metal. No I installed vinyl.

Early people did vinyl or the ford letters which had some quality issues. Then puffy letters came out. Now there are plastic letters on amazon and ebay that are 1/8" and 1/4" thick. I ordered the 1/8 matte black letters which should be here before long.

I bought the Ford Black Platinum letters for mine. They are hard and slightly raised.

Seeing as how so many people are putting lettering on theirs I kinda want to not put lettering to be unique

Let us know how you like those. I went with the puffy eBay letters but I'm not crazy about the fitment. Quality seems good but fitment not so much, and these are supposed to be the "revised" version..

The corners on the letters are pretty rounded. I'd prefer a set that has more crisp letters with sharper, tighter edges if that makes sense. The "K" is probably the worst fitment IMO.
