Lettering on the Maverick stamp on the tailgate

Hmmm parked next to this Bronco Sport and got me wondering if white lettering might pop on the Area 51 Mav as well... my Plan A was to go with stainless steel lettering to kinda match the chrome accents and rims on my Lariat but... maybe...

I think red, silver or black lettering would complement the A51, wheel or bumper colors.

I have a Carbonized Gray with the raised black letters. I did notice something interesting after installing the letters, I have fewer tailgaters now since they see the Maverick letters and don't need to get so close to read the stamped tailgate. I guess that happens when you don't advertise, and people are interested in something they have never seen on the road from FORD.

I'm also considering a subtle approach. I may be the only one thinking of doing this, but I plan to get some Area 51 touch-up paint, slightly tint it darker, and take the tailgate off to paint it. I'll do some experimenting first, might try adding in some glass flake or graphite. Also might try to see what doing a "highlight" and or "lowlight" edge would look like. I've been a scenic painter in the theatre for 50 years, so not a big deal to do the paint. Won't come off in the car wash as well!

Source probably is hard to find, although I seen posts where guys are color-match painting bumpers, so auto paint shops might have some. Certainly by the time I get mine. I've been a scenic painter in theatre for over 50 years, so I can probably mix my own.

What would look good on shadow black?

I've been contemplating this as well and I believe a matte grey would look great. It would add some contrast and yet still be subtle. I'm not a fan of chrome or shiny.
