It must be interesting to not be able to see properly at night...Yep....like stated above. Just do 35% all the way around and you are good. It's an easy choice. Everyone's doing it....at least in Texas we are.....![]()

Are you joking? because 35 is our “legal” in Texas and is really light. I’m not talking about the front windshield of course… because we can’t legally. It must be interesting to not be able to see properly at night...
Just because its legal does not make it reasonable. What do you do in a turn, open your windows to see out properly? Are you joking? because 35 is our “legal” in Texas and is really light. I’m not talking about the front windshield of course… because we can’t legally.![]()

MasterBlaster is right. I have 55% tint in front and I do indeed, need to roll down my side windows and night when making certain turns. In my residential area, there are always pedestrians (without lights or reflective gear) and dogs on leash, after dark. And with my windows up, I can not reliably see them. With windows down, I absolutely can see them. It's ironic that you post pictures in bright sunlight to illustrate how well you can see out of your 35% tinted windows at night.Seriously what are you talking about? It’s 35% it matches the factory tint on the back windows and it’s very light to see out of ??? Are you getting your percentages mixed up? Here’s a few pics for reference.
FYI, I wasn’t trying to post the pictures in bright sunlight. That’s just the time of day that I read the post… so I was standing right there by my truck when I took the pictures. anyway… EVERYONE in Texas runs 35% because that’s the legal amount. 95% of people are running that and have no problems seeing day or night. Anything darker than that and yeah I could see having maybe to roll the window down at night only. Not trying to argue I’m just telling you guys how it is. 35% is normal here in Texas.MasterBlaster is right. Technically, in Texas the legal limit is 25% for the front side windows, so the allowable can be even darker than yours. Are you joking? because 35 is our “legal” in Texas and is really light. I’m not talking about the front windshield of course… because we can’t legally.![]()
Thanks, Carlitos. I knew it was in that range of 25 or 35 percent. That’s why I don’t understand why people are griping about 35% on the front windows… are you kidding? It really is pretty light day and night.Technically, in Texas the legal limit is 25% for the front side windows, so the allowable can be even darker than yours.
But I agree with you - when I bought my truck, it had illegal tint on the front side windows and it was a pain to drive at night or in parking garages. I had it all removed and redone with 25% all around, and it is perfectly fine. Even at 25% on the rear window, I still have to flip up my rearview mirror to the "dim" position a lot of the time at night.
