I have the Garmin 67 (front) and Garmin Mini 2 (rear) in my Mav. I am happy with recording quality but the phone app is not good. Difficult to download videos to my phone. I'm thinking of getting the Viofo 229.

Follow up 6/24. I ordered the Viofo 229plus from Amazon, $159.99 during Prime week. Just didn't like the Garmin app :-(. I'll put the Garmins in my wife and son's cars.

Follow up 6/27. Installed the Viofo a229plus. Easy install with HK4 hard wire kit. Video quality is very good. App on phone works well

I replaced my rearview mirror with a Wolfbox TriPro and have been very happy.

I forget the dash cam is there, but use the rear camera every drive. The 170 degree unobstructed view has been a gamer changer.

I have the Viofo A119 mini mounted on the windshield just to the right of the rear view mirror with the 64GB card. The cable runs under the headliner frame, down the right side pillar, behind the glove box and comes out behind the power plug (formerly cigarette lighter) where it is powered using the enclosed plug.

A couple things to kick this off..
I’m a senior (retired engineer / technologist) and I've been made aware of a disturbing trend.
A friend of mine in Dallas actually experienced this - He was involved in a fender bender that was not his fault (he in the right lane and the other guy coming out of a parking lot - turning right and directly into his RF wheel.). The twenty something claimed “it was Grandpa’s fault as he swerved into his path and had sped up”. This was not true as verified by an eye witness that actually stuck around.
The cop said that many accidents between seniors and youngers are being automatically blamed on the elder driver by the younger one!
The officer also said that if the Senior’s have a Dash Cam, and make that known, the “blame Grandpa” remarks are generally retracted.
So - it’s really incumbent on all of us, young or old, to bring our own witness with us.

While I currently have dash cams in my daily drivers, I‘m on the hunt for something better - 4k with GPS is a must have.

Just like Tony here, and ZeroDay, I too just purchased the Wolfbox 900 TriPro last week. It arrived yesterday and will try to find the time to install it early next week. The biggest reason I got this was so that I'll have the "built in Day-Night" feature like most other cars have. The camera portion is a bonus. The larger field of view should be nice too. I'll likely do a rough/quick installation just to get the mirror and front & indoor cameras functional right away. The rear will have to wait a bit as I plan on creating an outdoor mounted assembly (3D created or fiberglass/metal combo) for rear coverage. Might just mount the rear one inside so it's at least functional for now, then can take my time moving it later.

Oh, what finally told me to "buy it right now" was that I witnessed an older lady turning into her condo association when a full size dodge Ram t-boned her at a good rate of speed. I was at this same intersection probably 50-75 feet away and witnessed the entire incident looking out my front windshield. It would have been nice to have recorded the incident. Oh, and in this case, the little old lady was clearly at fault! Everyone was OK though.

My Rexing M3 is similar to the Wolfbox 900 TriPro. Dash and pivoting interior cameras built into the mirror cam and a wired remote review camera. I used a universal mirror mounting and hard wired power, the rear-view camera I installed inside the cab of my F150. Simplified wiring and the camera is out of the weather, stays clean. The 256gb chip holds over 10 hours from all 3 cameras. I have it set to 1 minute sections, and loop over recording. I've had this setup in my F150 for 4 years.

Wolfbox 850, hard wire kit, and mount. New vehicle and some trip fasteners are stubborn. I mounted the wired remote camera inside the cab as a rear view camera. So far quite happy with the results.
