Order placed for a 2024 XL Hybrid

I don't get your point. Dealers can place as many orders as they want for dealer stock. They just won't get pulled until after all of their retail orders get selected. So if a dealer ends up having more allocations than retail orders, they will get dealer stock orders and mark them up with an ADM.
AutoMate is right. The first dealership I worked with said that the ordering for 2023 was such a headache that even if Ford would take extra orders, they would stick with their allotments to save the trouble. Bad reviews do have an impact and having to field angry status updates wears on folks. Sure, there's probably some scumbag dealers out their overpromising on this, but it really bites them in the butt in the end.

Seems like scheduling has been light for July? I was hoping the 3rd shift that was supposed to start this month would have made a difference….

Hybrid is the highest constraint, I don’t mind if my order rolls over to MY25
This was my original plan, needed a new vehicle in about a year and a half and didn't want to have to wait a year for a Mav when I acutally needed it. Dealer's plan was to have me order this year and plan for it to roll over. But now with Ford not offering price protection for MY24 rollovers to MY25, and seeing how much the price jumped this year from last year, I think I'd rather get it sooner than later. My build already increased a few thousand from MY23 configurator prices.

Plus once you order it's hard not to think about it constantly lol

But there won’t be rollovers to MY25
If dealers did what they should have, there shouldn't need to be.
Could be interesting if Ford cancels all orders that don't get built by end of MY24 production and make everyone start over with a "Clean slate" on ordering. Though my dealer told me they've never seen Ford cancel an order on any vehicle, just continue to delay over and over
