So can switchbacks be installed on a Lariat?

 wow, $200+ for something you'll never actually see on your own vehicle?
There's a storefront window on a curve I drive by everyday where I see my reflection as I approach and go by. The white switchbacks look so good it makes my day every time. Also when I walk up to it after unlocking it.

I drive an XL, and have the Lasfit Amber. Best choice I ever made! Like others, I also prefer amber over white. My personal opinion on the switchbacks are that there’s too much white light in the front of the truck after install , the amber contrast better. Again, my opinion. When headlights are on, the amber lights are a “normal “ brightness, not over powering at all. When you lock the truck with the key fob or signal a turn… holy cow, you can see those things a mile away. Very bright, but I don’t believe it crosses the line on being too bright. It’s dancing right next to that line for sure.

I have the amber only. Those are intended for Lariats, because Lariats have DRL eyebrows above the headlights. XL and XLT's are designed to get the switchbacks, because the turn signals are also DRL's. Amber when signal is active, then they switchback to white DRL when not flashing.

I have never seen anyone put amber only in an XL/XLT. Probably what will happen is they will always be amber. Amber flashing turn signal, and amber DRL's. Or worse, they may only work one or the other, signal or DRL.

If you want to put in Lasfit turn signals in an XL, I highly recommend the switchback. The amber only is just as bright as the switchbacks. But it sounds like Amber DRL's may be a desired effect for you.
Did you notice a big difference between Lariat stock front turn signals and the Lasfit? Thinking of ordering but not sure...
- Thanks!

Yes, very significant difference. Much, much brighter.

Maybe I missed this but I believe the DRL AND The amber Turn lights are separate?

Am I reading this correctly that they are the same bulb?

I was considering the Lasfit ambers for my Lariat, but the Lumens are too high. I ended up getting Underground Lighting 4257 ambers (non-switchback) because the Lumen level is a little lower (1200) compared to Lasfit's 1600Lm. The 1200Lm are still too bright at night and I'm quite sure they blind oncoming traffic.

I'm waiting and hoping for a manufacturer to make a set with around 600 - 800Lm so they flash at a near OEM/legal brightness. 🙏
