Can someone clear up confusion with Lasfit Leds and the recall.

Which LEDs are affected?

If you buy the Lasfit Switchback for the front Leds, does the recall affect those? What are the difference with T3s ?

I just want to plug stuff in and it just work.

I don't want to deal with any forscan stuff. I would rather not purchase LEDs and just wait until everything gets sorted out.

Thanks for any Maverick Enlightment

I had the original Lasfit switchbacks on the front. They were way to bright. The turns were blinding to other drivers. Replaced them with the newer Lasfit T3 switchbacks. Much better. Had the recall done. Doesn't affect the front T3 switchbacks. The older Lasfit rear turns cause hyper flashing. I've heard the newer T3s they have now work but I have not changed the rears and don't plan to.

I had 1st generation LED Lasfits on all my exterior lights in my 23 XLT Hybrid. They worked great before the recall with no hyperflashing. After the recall, all bulbs worked normally on the exterior of the vehicle, but hyperflash started on the dash (inside). I wanted to change to the 2nd gen LED's on the front turn signal lights as I also thought they were to bright AND I read here that changing them helped alleviate the hyperflashing on the inside. I got them and installed them and while they are dimmer (yea), and work normally on the outside of the vehicle, they did NOT fix the hyperflash on the inside of the vehicle. Guess I am waiting for a fix of some sort as I will not give up on LED's at this point

It's the rear bulbs that are affected, not the front.

But no lasfit “fix” for those yet unless you try to put original non led bulbs back in. Does that fix the Hyperflash inside the vehicle?

Yes, the rear turn/brake lights are the issue with the dash hyperflash after the recall software update. My understanding is the new T3 Lasfits will / may work on XL & XLT trim levels, but those of us who have the Lariat will not. Options are so far, go back to OEM, wait for Lasfit to get a "fix" (ie bulb that won't flash), or purchase Underground LEDs at a slightly higher cost point. Their SKU # is: F150-Rear-21, 64.95 / pair, 2 pr needed.

I don't know if those have actually been confirmed. @Jag42 keeps saying so, but AFAIK they only have the front bulbs changed which, as mentioned, aren't the ones in question.

Underground LED front switchbacks have zero hyperflash. I have not tried the rear tails yet.

I guess this is why I am confused... some say they switched to lasfit and had issues but no clarification of what they switched to...

Do the T3 switchbacks have issues with the recall or is it the rear led lights?

It's the rear tail lights. Non-T3 Lasfits were encountering hyperflash with the new BCM programming so people were getting replacement Lasfit T3s. The newer T3s have some sort of adaptive resistance circuit that allows it to adjust to a resistance/wattage value until it makes the BCM happy.

They did not fix interior hyperflash for me

The rear red LEDs to my knowledge. On the Lasfit website, the XL/XLT show the new T3 series red LEDs are avail. There are NO rear red LEDs avail for the Lariat trim level trucks at this time.

do you have a Lariat? If so, that is probably the issue. Maybe need to get with Lasfit then.

Because you said you replaced changed the fronts. Again, it's the rear tail lights.
No I understand. Lasfit has no bulb that will fix the hyperflash for the rears. Bob clarified that need to switch to underground bulbs in the rear to fix the hyperflash
