Lariat or well spec'd XLT?

Lariat or loaded XLT. The Tremor has a twin-clutch rear-drive unit and a locking rear differential that requires a high-capacity transmission oil cooler to keep it from overheating. The Tremor can only tow 2000 pounds with the add-ons. I feel that Ford might be saying that the Tremor equipment is marginal. I want the Tremor but until it can haul 4000 pounds with Ford's blessing, I will try to resist the temptation. That is unless my wife takes over my, paid for, 2024 Lariat........ I do tow 2300 to 2800 lbs at times so I'm out. I hope you figure out which one works for you but I believe you will be pleasantly surprised with any Maverick.

Lariat all the way! The biggest thing I don't like in mine, it the piss poor color choices of the interior. Blue & Beige fake leather seats with any/all exterior color options? Really ??

By son's Lariat has the BAP option and gets the nicer interior seating color. All dash & door panels colors remain the same BUT at least his seats look sooooo much better being dark gray.

When I went to test drive I tested 2025s and 204s. I decided I liked the 2024 for personal reasons. Hybrid, EB didn't matter but I leaned toward EB. What did matter was the exterior color compared to the interior color. I looked at a red 2025 Lariat and a red 2024 Lariat and said "NOPE". I did not like the blue interior with the red. If it had been dark gray I would have bought the red hybrid Lariat. So I saw an Atlas blue Lariat on the lot, 2024, and the interior looked like it belonged on it. Plus the 2024 had 18" wheels instead of 19" which to me was a plus.

You can add most of the Lariat sound stuff DIY. The windshield not so much though. I had to get my factory one replaced and upgraded to the Lariat one. It's a little bit less noisy.

I'm getting closer to buying, and have a few questions remaining. Of course someone at a dealer could answer them, but I'm avoiding them until I have a clear idea of what I want.

I'm considering either a well kitted out XLT or a Lariat. The Lariat has a few things that I really am not inerested in (e.g. Copilot) but other than that is pretty appealing. But it's a two or three K more than an XLT with the features I want.

Finally, my questions. Are there differences in the suspension? With the 19" wheels the Lariat should ride and handle differently. Does it?

I understand the Lariat has a different widshield, which is quieter. Are there any other cabin differences?

I own a 2025 Lariat. Really like it, but I have no experience driving an XLT. The seats in the Lariat are great. I was worried about the 19" wheels - but the ride is very smooth. I think in 2025 you couldn't get the power sliding rear window without the Lariat package. Didn't think I wanted it but turns out I use it quite a bit - glad to have it. The B&O stereo sounds very good.

The Tremor is the only Mav with a cooler on the TPU. I hear Ford loud and clear. That's a fact. Tremor possibly a weeny - no 4K tow. My Bad, butterfingered, PTU.

I could have traded my 2024vLariat for a used 2025 Tremor last fall for $5000.00 but declined. It had been sitting on the lot since spring. The salesman said he traded it in on a new Ranger. I'm still looking/deciding. The point is I don't know what the future holds but when I read this post it made me smile instantly. I wish the had an Icon you could click that represents "made me smile." They have one for mad which I haven't nor intend to use, So "made me smile."
