The twin clutch RDU doesn’t cause the transmission to overheatLariat or loaded XLT. The Tremor has a twin-clutch rear-drive unit and a locking rear differential that requires a high-capacity transmission oil cooler to keep it from overheating. The Tremor can only tow 2000 pounds with the add-ons. I feel that Ford might be saying that the Tremor equipment is marginal. I want the Tremor but until it can haul 4000 pounds with Ford's blessing, I will try to resist the temptation. That is unless my wife takes over my, paid for, 2024 Lariat........I do tow 2300 to 2800 lbs at times so I'm out. I hope you figure out which one works for you but I believe you will be pleasantly surprised with any Maverick.
