Lariat - Is "Phone as a Key" PAAK available?

Question: The Lariat package includes both the remote keyless entry as well as 'Intelligent access with Push-Button Start".

Because of this, will I be able to use the Phone-as-Key Feature that comes with Ford Pass Connect?

I can't find any information that says that this is a Sync 4-only feature or not.

I do not believe so, I think this is only on a couple of the higher end vehicles that have sync 4.

On the MME forum there are a lot of threads about issues with the PAAK. Might be good that it's not available yet on all the Ford vehicles until they have it working flawlessly.

Lincoln Corsair, which is on same platform as Maverick, but like Maverick does not have Sync 4, offers phone-as-a-key feature on its Technology Package, but it requires dealer activatation. So perhaps you could pay the dealer to activate feature on Maverick.

She does have phone as a key, that is not an option on the Maverick or any Ford vehicle except the Mach-e

I found this thread due to my phone stating this. It’s the first time I see this. As soon as I optimized it, it disappeared.

that's pretty cool. I see it's a Tremor, I assume Lariat? I wonder if anyone who has a non-Tremor Lariat 2023 also sees this.

...and of course, even more interesting than seeing it is using it. have you tried to use PAAK?

until they have it working flawlessly.

While it "sounds" good what happens if you loose your phone or it is stolen or your phone is fried by dropping it in the lake or toilet .... A traditional fob has the advantage of always being able to start the vehicle even if the electronics are dead. Always a tradeoff. Tesla has gone thru tons of problems with the phone as a key setup - Tesla Phone Key Issues some of the biggest challenges are the multitude of different versions of Android and Iphone operating systems and security.

Can I get Phone As A Key (PAAK) on my 25 Maverick Lariat Hybrid AWD, which I believe has Sync4? I don't think so, according to https://www.ford.com/support/how-to...ford-vehicles-is-phone-as-a-key-available-on/ but you never know if there has been update and the website is outdated. I have both Android and Iphone if it makes a difference. Anything maybe with Forscan or having dealer activate?
