Which is a better phone for a Maverick ??

I dont know. I use talky type phones. Those flat ones just dont work for me.
Funny though I needed a covid test the other day and couldnt get one so I just got in line after putting my name in the system for next week. When I got in line they asked for a scan code and I just showed em my flip phone and they pushed me on through with no appt lol!

Agreed. We now have 3 Moto Ace 5g's, best daily use phone I've had so far. I've had Samsung and have an Iphone 13 mini as well.

As far as I can see, the Apple Carplay and Android auto are only included in the Lariat Luxury package. Otherwise, your phone works through bluetooth with the entertainment info system.
So, If Apple Carplay or Android Auto are a must have item, Order your Maverick with the LARIAT LUXURY package.

If you’re staying under $300 and did want to try the Apple flavor the iPhone SE 2020 version (aka iPhone SE 2) is a great deal, using the fairly new A13 Apple processor. It’s what I use currently. Coming from a Galaxy S8 phone, this is so snappy and does everything I need it to, and I’m a computer jockey in IT. Camera is great. None of the budget-friendly phone cameras compare to the intense technology going on in the flagship phones, but you will not be dissatisfied. I used to run custom roms on my android phones but I got sucked back into Apple because we use them across the board at work, so I assimilated into the whole ecosystem.

Anyway, both phone systems are great if you don’t go with a model that’s too underpowered where you feel like you're waiting on it. First world problems maybe.

Or see eBay for some even deeper deals but that’s harder for you to know what to pick without some help maybe. I buy a lot of my stuff as open box on Amazon and ebay pre-owned items. And yet I got a loaded Maverick lol. I’ve just found the used stuff to most often be just fine if you have a critical eye.

Better check on that. When you build a Maverick. Apple Carplay and Android auto show up as Lariat Luxury package items. Better check on that so you aren't disappointed. You will still be able to use Bluetooth.

Care to make a wager ? Name it. Or I suppose that all the Youtube videos with XL and XLT trim showing either Carplay or Android Auto are just CGI camera tricks...

I am retired and on a budget so I would prefer to buy the least expensive 1 but a decent phone not a piece of junk.

You're probably going to get a lot of suggestions here, but as a longtime user of smartphones, MY suggestion is to go to eBay and buy either a 2 year old unlocked model of IPhone or an unlocked Android Samsung Galaxy S9 (not an S9+) that is 'Ebay refurbished' in good or excellent condition, depending on how much you're willing to spend. You will save a ton of money, and either will probably be perfectly adequate for 4 years or more. Then accept that for the foreseeable future, you're an IPhone user or you're an Android user.

Then, if you aren't already using a smartphone, just for the love of your own mental health and everyone around you, get a knowledgeable friend to help you set it up and download your apps. You will enjoy it so much more if you get somebody to deal with logical settings vs settings that will make your phone notify you of every little thing every few minutes.

Have you ever heard of back market refurbished phones I have located a S9 excellent condition for 199.00 dollars . Fully unlocked . Would work on Verizon ,At T and T-Mobile mobile just wanted to know what you thought?

I've never heard the term so I can't say. I'd want something I could return if it's corrupted though. Ebay resellers and Amazon have some level of guarantee.

After looking around, I see a lot of info on google that does indicate all models of Maverick have Apple Carplay and Android Auto. So, It appears the Build a Maverick website has confusing information.

Do not have lux package. Do have car play.
