I also have a '24 Maverick Lariat and ordered one of the Aichiyu keys off Amazon. I've tried several times and haven't been able to get it to program. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

1. Got in the car and closed the door.
2. Opened the center console and pulled up the carpeting at the bottom to expose the key fob depression.
3. Placed one of my working key fobs in the depression (I tried face up and face down, not sure which is best but not sure it should really matter either).
4. Pressed the start button without having my foot on the brake. A message came up on screen to "Press Brake to Start" and then another that said that Full accessory power is active.
5. Waited 5 seconds after hitting that start button and then removed the key.
6. Pressed the Start button again to turn off car.
7. Repeated with 2nd working key
8. Placed the new Aichiyu key in the depression and pressed the start button. I also tried pressing and holding the start button. I got the same press brake to start and accessory power active messages but nothing else. Removed key and turned off car and no response from the new key.

Did you do anything different? Anything I'm missing from the instructions?

Thanks for any help!

Just a heads up — you really need to follow the instructions exactly and move fast or it won’t work. You need two working keys already, and all the steps have to happen within 30 seconds. Here’s a simplified version of what I did:

Make sure all doors are shut (and stay shut) and keep foot off ALL pedals.

Put the first key in the backup slot. Hit Start/Stop.

Wait 5 seconds, hit Start/Stop again, remove first key.

Drop in the second key. Same thing — Start/Stop, wait, Start/Stop again, remove it.

Pop in the new unprogrammed key and HOLD DOWN Start/Stop. You should hear a chirp and message if programmed successfully.

If you don’t get it right the first time, wait 10 seconds and try again. Took me two tries but it worked. I made two new keys to use as my primary keys. The original ones are locked in the safe.

I tried again and that worked. They key to getting it to work, I think, was speed and doing it all as fast as possible and doing the switchout of keys after the 5 seconds quickly. My 3rd key now works fine. Thank you.

Thank you, thank you! Purchased one Aichiyu key fob from Amazon, a bit skeptical it would work. Success on first try!

I've tried this at least 10 times, and get "Key Program Failure" every time.

2022 Lariat Lux. Any suggestions?
