I have had my 2025 AWD hybrid XLT Maverick, complete with moonroof and the luxury and 4K tow packages, and actually quite love it. I waited for this particular drivetrain since the model’s introduction. However, I have since been fighting Lariat envy, what with the 360 camera system, leatherette seats, upgraded sound system, and electric rear window, although this trim level would have run about $8500 more. Furthermore, I generally find cloth seats to be more comfortable than leatherette or even leather and I can always upgrade the sound system. Can anyone offer some perspective on this mental dilemma?
Bought my 2023 EB Lariat as retirement gift to myself. Not sorry one bit. It had all the bells and whistles and back in 2023 wasn’t all that much more in my opinion. I went all in except didn’t get 4 K tow pkg because I will not be utilizing that option. Truck has been a very dependable vehicle and the options are nice to have available.

Can you show a picture of which dog seat protector you are using?
I bought it at a thrift store for $5
Just google them, there are many.
No pictures but straps go over the head rests, corner elastic under the front bottom ends and pvc tubes tucking into the seat between the back and bottom.
They pop out when I lift the seat to get into the trunk :’P

It’s black, pleated and waterproof. Machine washable.

New you’ll spend $50-$100

Good for you are one in a milliion because Vinyl doesn't breathe. Not saying you won't sweat on cloth seats but less likely to. Also it will be considerably less with cloth, because it can breathe. Case in point try working in a cloth t-shirt vs a nylon rain coat. Some people just don't sweat, many because of loss of an organ. I have a BIL after Vietnam and surgery, he doesn't sweat anymore.

I actually love my active-x seats. They are easy to clean. They are very comfortable with good back support. If it is too hot in my Maverick, I use the air conditioning and thus I have no problem with my skin sticking to active-x material. Also, the seats are wonderful when I turn on the heated seat feature!!!
Same here. Get those windows tinted and 50% on the Windshield, no issues.

I usually don't sweat in my Active-X seats because I have the AC on...

Yeah right I'm writing about your butt and backside against your imitation leather, where your A/C can't reach.

I’ve had a ‘22 hybrid XL, traded it in for a ‘22 hybrid XLT with the lux pkg, but no CP360, which I traded for a ‘22 hybrid Lariat with the lux pkg and all the bells and whistles. I absolutely love my Lariat and have customized it with some accessories and decals. I plan on keeping it for a very long time!!

I bought XLT because I didn't like the rims on the lariat and didn't like the fake pleather seats. I really like the cloth XLT interior. I added ACC and lane centering for a couple hundred bucks, that was the only thing I wanted on the lariat trim.

I had a 24 Lariat Hybrid, owned it for a year, and actually went with a 25 XLT this time around. I never used half the stuff in the Lariat, so I knew the XLT would suit my needs. I'm one of those people that like cloth seats better, rarely used the rear sliding window, DFW traffic to dense to get practical use of the ACC feature, don't notice much if any road noise difference in the XLT, and I'm old school and still use my neck to turn around and look when backing into a parking space. My XLT has the lux package, AWD, black package, tow package, and it's Ecoboost this time around. With the dealer discount and first responders discount I got out at $33,200. Dont miss the Lariat at all, but probably because been there, done that.

But if you get2k off lariat, that’s like 1k more than his option or am I wrong?

4k tow is also a waste, but no it's still more than that.

You are the first person to state this on this forum. (I have been on this forum for 3.5 years). I think most will disagree with you but that is okay. Everyone is free to express their opinion here...
