2 weeks after getting our 23 Lariat loaded with electronics we went to NJ . Used the Advanced CC on Pa turnpike but wasn't real imprsssed. Turned off for Jersey TP . Haven't used since. Still have to keep hand's on the wheel. I still like it that way.
Adaptive cruise can be used without lane centering or lane keeping. 3 distinct options on the Maverick. Lane keeping can be used without cruise control on. I use it on country roads that lack a shoulder. Otherwise I find it and lane centering to be annoying. Adaptive cruise is great on the interstate and long drives but is not meant for stop and go traffic.

10-4 MavStang. Hoping to make a trip to Nashville maybe in the fall and will probably use it going down rt 80 now that I'm more acquainted with my "Little Truck"

It also works well when you are a two-lane 55MPH highway stuck behind an John Deere 8R that is going flat out .. at 35MPH .. in a no passing zone.

Just sayin'.

Hahahahaha! Yesterday, because of this thread, I went back in there and turned it on for the 15 minute drive to and from my local dive bar.

It's still annoying.
Part of the reason it’s so annoying is is we still have good driving skills.
It’s a use them or lose them situation.

Tesla’s full auto drive is the shit !
Fords half assed system is just that.
Half assed and quite annoying.

FORD !
Do better !

I agree with Cherokee we need to keep our driving skills sharp. W/o question. But I disagree about the system being useless! I drove decades w/o any driving assisted cars. The lane centering, lane keeping & adaptive cruise work pretty darn good and as Mikes1942 said, its a relatively inexpensive vehicle by today's pricing standards. LKA, Lane Centering, & ACC are very nice under certain driving & road conditions. I don't expect it to be, nor want it to be, a self-driving truck. Plus you can use all or none of the assists if you choose. The driver's option to Enable or Disable is a WIN in my book.

I've yet to experience any issues with mine execpt that it's not working at all. I'd like to "get the feel" of it before making any judgements. Under "settings" all choices are turned on th where it should be working BUT after just 1500 miles still not working. Similat to the "auto adjust" volume control on the radio as you go faster and noise levels inside the cab increase. No difference with it on or off! Not a deal breaker but I'd like to at least experience what several of you are going through.

My adaptive cruise control DOES work, and like others mentioned, I hate the auto braking at 100' or less when an opening gets cut off.

And I expect, Ford to NOT put in half baked thrown together glitchy half assed tech.

Once in production it should ALL work flawlessly.
NOT be In The vehicle until it works 100%
What happened to Quality is Job One ?

Yes I have high expectations.
We walked on the moon in 1969 and everything worked.
57 years ago, that’s FIFTY SEVEN years ago and now we can’t get simple software to do what it’s supposed to do.

Ford could and should do better.
Ford needs to hire a few MIT graduates,
People are not created equal and only some can be educated.

These features should work if your ACC does. Agree, ACC braking & acceleration are too aggressive, so I use driving assist features sparingly. Lane centering is what I like most on long trips, allowing me to comfortably remove my constant gaze from the road for a second here and there.

Well maybe it's time you find a car company who has figured it out and go buy one.

On my '24 Lariet, I have found it irritating that when I swing off to the left to give a pedestrian (not on the road, but off to the right on the right of way) a little more comfort space, the Maverick will pull me back to the center almost making it appear that I'm purposing passing close to that individual.

I would if there was one, there is not,
NWO.
It’s the way things are now.
Sucks.

My 2026 Tremor is great.
I just don’t play with any of the half assed toys they shoved in the vehicle.
Just so they could tell buyers about them,
To boost sales.

I don’t drool for new tech.
I’ve figured out the systems I use, I’m good.

I am glad I don’t have to get out in the rain or mud and lock in hubs.
