As someone noted above, Lane Keep works with/without cruise. Lane Center only works with ACC.

Yes, Honda cars will steer at all times regardless of cruise settings. Same for Hyundai/Kia.

I certainly don't think it's right. Mine absolutely works with or without cruise turned on. I don't know of any setting that might effect it....but then it's all pretty new to me too.
Works beautifully on mine, so far.

I don't even have 100 miles on the truck so I'm still figuring it all out. Took it on the highway today and the lane keep seemed to shut off when I took the cruise control off. Is this right? If so is there a way around it?
Yes, only when adaptive cruise is on. My lane keeping/centering works at lower speeds also. It needs to see the lines on both sides of your lane. Goes from grey lanes to green lanes when it’s engaged.

It’s a great question because I rented a Hyundai Elantra recently, and it had lane keeping/centering, and you could use it without cruise. That car didn’t have adaptive cruise, but the lane keeping/centering was just as good as the Mav Lariat.

I haven’t been able to use lane keeping/centering without the adaptive cruise on the Maverick.

I've put it to test several times.. the lane assist on the maverick reminds me Pong game backmin the 70s.. or arkanoid in the 80s.. or ping pong for non gamers..

it doesn't keep your vehicle in center. you will just bounce in between the two lines over and over.. and a popup warning will suggest you to take a coffee break,

i bought it because i use it as a security measure in case i get distracted or falling asleep.

if you are the type of driver not using turn signals, your steering wheel will vibrate and force the steering back.. so if you intend to change lanes often, you should disable it.

i had the chance to witness the pre collision warning. The screen will pop red.
is it going to stop all by it self? I didn't test that out lol

didn't want to risk my (very hard to get) hybrid. But i would presume it will brake for you.

It took a minute to get used to that system on my wife's 2020 Escape. It works the same, only seems to be active over that 40mph mark. What's really scary the first time is the adaptive cruise and letting it do the work of slowing you down and coming to a stop. Not easy to trust it at first.
Yeah I'm scared to fire up ACC but folks here really like it. On our I3 the ACC is terrifying and I will not be using that ever again.

The main drawback with when I've used the ACC is it gets skittish about vehicles slowing as they merge to a center turning lane. Usually I have to turn it off briefly until they're out of the way or it starts climbing on the brakes. At least it doesn't totally freak out like the collision alert sometimes does approaching behind vehicles making a right-hand turn.

The ACC on the Maverick is just OK, I have driven a Lariat with it and it's slow to respond at times, the ACC in our 2022 CRV is better, and the ACC in my M5 is even better than the honda. It's all about the price you pay.

Interesting, I feel the ACC in the Maverick is way better than my 2019 Honda. Or I should say the Lane Centering along with the ACC works way better.

We had a 2018 CRV which would ping pong between the sides of the lane, but 2022 is far better.
