I have the 2026 XLT Hybrid AWD and wanted to know where people have been placing their stick-on keypad.
I've seen the photos of it placed above the door handle and don't really like the look. I did see a couple pictures of it being placed under the gas door but mine locks and I don't want to disable that function. If you have one please post photos.
Thanks

Ed,
Because your hybrid has a pressurized gas tank, that is part of the emissions control.
You really don't want to disable the locking mechanism.

Here are a few ideas from some of our members. Good luck mounting your wireless keypad.

Ford should have never taken away the factory implementation of it

This is where it came from the factory.

Above the door handle. I wanted it vertically on the door pillar but then the numbers would look odd as i guess it’s meant to be mounted horizontally. Never use mine but its still a handy option.

I put mine on the panel behind the rear door, yes it is vertical so the numbers are sideways but you really don't notice it unless you take a close look. I still haven't used it.

I do hope the new ones are integrated into the trim piece and do not show up until touched like many of the current versions.

I don't think the new ones are going to be the invisible style. Those required the pillars to be glossy. The "invisible till touched" keypads were usually featured on a higher end Ford or Lincoln products. Something the Maverick is not.

And yet they figured out how to offer it as an aftermarket accessory for the Bronco Sport,,,,

I placed my Maverick Key Pad just over the Lariat logo on the left front fender. Did not like the idea of placing it near the driver door handle.

We'll have to wait and see what style they offer for the Ford Maverick.
With tax and installation almost $400 bucks on the bronco sport.😯

Our Edge has the keypad integrated into the B pillar. You have to run your hand over it for it to light up, so it is very well hidden. I wish that would be standard and not this after thought wart they have now.

It is one of the greatest little things Ford ever did.

I own THREE FoMoCo vehicles from the '80s and all of them have this lovely feature. In my experience it is one of the most durable pieces of equipment on any vehicle. Those early versions just DO NOT go bad/break.
