I am waiting paitiently for my XLT Lux,hybrid, velocity blue Mav to arrive.I do not plan to modify or change anything on this truck.I will keep it stock. If the hood flutters I will fix that as by the time next summer I get my truck there will be a proven fix out there. In my opinion,if you have to do drastic things to a brand new vehicle, you should consider something different.Anybody else share my opinion.Let the flames begin!

I am of the same opinion, on some vehicles. Say, they will be collectible in the future. Shelby Mustang, Focus RS, etc. But, I doubt the Maverick will be, unless Ford stops production for some reason.

I say mod it to your liking. They will be plentiful.

I might do something cosmetic but nothing mechanical. I've got two other cars I've built from scratch so I can scratch my mod itch with those.

Define "have to do"

I am not aware of anyone doing mods that are required.

You like her stock, drive 'er stock.

The only thing I can see me doing is adding some accessories, but modifying the truck to be way different than the build I get, probably not.

If by mods you mean things like wheels, springs, exhaust, etc. I will also be keeping mine stock. I have a Mustang and while those types of mods have been fun for it, I have no motivation to do such things to a 191 hp Maverick.

Now, I will be buying a tonneau cover of some sort, and there might be things I'd like to do to make the bed work better for certain cargo. But any "mods" will be purely for practical reasons and ease of use, etc.

Zero modifications for me, unless you count changing out the incandescent back-up lights. I do plan to add accessories, tonneau cover, extended bed rack, mud flaps, bug shield, window deflectors, along with black maverick lettering on the tailgate. Then I am done! :)

But if you mean absolutely no changes or add on, then I cannot be in that camp. LOL

let the flames begin? this is equivalent of someone coming up to you to brag they won't have sex before marriage. the proper response is is to say "ok". then walk away.

Major mods, no....at least for the first few years. If Ford offers an official Tune for it like they did the Ranger, I'll probably jump on it. I am swapping the tires because for the life of me I cannot see what brainchild chose a SMALLER tire for the FX4 package. I'll probably be adding a tailgate dampener and tonneau cover and am sure some other accessories will catch my fancy along the way. It's like a "Starter Kit".... 😆

I will add a few functional things like bed tie downs and a ARE bed cover for trips.

I will not make any mechanical changes or ricer mods that make a lot of noise and nothing else.

The keys to keeping mileage up is keeping weight down, the engine in proper tune and not disrupting the aero package.

I believe that $5 a gallon gas will be the norm sooner than later. When that day comes I want to be driving 40 miles for $5, not 25-26-27 miles for $5.

The only things I am planning to add are a bed mat & one of those CD players that plugs into the USB port. I'd consider a tune if Ford offered one that kept full warranty.

Window deflectors, tailgate dampener, tailgate lock, LED backup lights, black tailgate letters, hood deflector and maybe mud flaps are the extent for me at this time. Maybe in a few years my Rapid Red, lariat first edition will still be worth what I paid for it...HAHA.
