This would make hospital billing blush. Get outta here with alllll of that.

I'd say the exterior coating might make it partially worth it, but based on what they think they can charge, I bet it sucks compared to a good job.

I'll be surprised if the nose-only coatings, whether ford or aftermarket, don't result in different degrees of fade between panels that are and are not covered (especially in high sun environments like mine).

To be fair, it is a rare color (Space White).

Hahaha, HRG

Surprised they didn't call the steelies a "special multi-holed" wheel option to ensure stability on the road.

Rip off dealers like that should be reported to Ford corporate asap.
Then buy else where.
You’re not responsible for the suckers that get snagged by unscrupulous dealers.

‘You can’t fix stupid’ says the metal sign on my fire place mantel.
I had the foresight to take my "you can't fix stupid" sign off my mantle when my youngest left for College.😇

I had a Toyota dealer try and sell me a wheel warranty for my steel stockers. They cost $90 new each. The warranty cost $299
And they tried to sell me a radio warranty for,
$299
In 2008 the radio cost $299

I laughed my ass off, the guy threw me out if his office.
I walked over to the sales man and plainly said,
“ Stick that Tacoma where the sun don’t shine”
And I walked out.

I used different words actually. Something like
Up your,,,,,

I got a better deal at another dealer with no bullshit.

Wow, this is the worst one I've seen.

"Appearance Protection Plan" - WTF?
"Stripe" (value $299.95) - Guessing you could get this on Aliexpress for $12
Nitrofill - the old standby rip-off, tried and true
"Infotainment Shield (value $399.95) mine was $12 on Amazon it's been holding up great

"Eckbond Application - WTH? You can buy a can of Scotchgaurd for $9 and DIY ceramic coating for $30 - $60

"Nitrofill with AtutoClub" - all of that is already included with Ford's 3 year warranty - all just double charges.

The bedliner seems to be the only legitimate charge and that's if it was installed by the dealership (doubtful) and not already put in by Ford. Probably a double charge also
You are correct. When I bought my Maverick in 2023 (off the lot) the bedliner was not installed but they told me they could do a spray in for about $700. I said maybe while they looked over my offer (without bedliner). While they were in the back "jack jawing", I googled some local reputable bed liner places. One of them laughed at the price and told me he was the one who actually had the Ford contract for bedliners. Ended up doing mine for a little over $500. Very nice guy and did a great job to! Everybody wants your dollar, some, more dollars than I want to give them! I would bet many folks never barter or shop around that much.

So many want instant gratification.
The, ‘l gotta have it now’ mentality is one of the reasons they sucker spoiled ‘I want it’ people into shit like that.

They do it that way because it’s profitable, because there are so many suckers out there.

And the rest of us have to navigate oceans of bullshit sales tactics because of them.

Yeah yeah I know,
This old fart cringes and wishes he could have remained ignorant to all this.

IMHO the Gen X’ers were the last that had brains that were not completely rotted out by sugar and processed foods.

Oh crap, I’m ranting, I’m sorry.

That would be a hard pass for me. Most of it is crap at a huge mark-up.

I sent emails to dealers that had a vehicle with all of the options I wanted. Basically I asked for their best price and confirmed there were no dealer add on packages to jack the price up higher than MSRP. Found a dealer that was $500 under MSRP with no extra fees/packages and took it. Only downside was that I had to drive 60 miles to the dealer. That was in 2024. The market is much softer now and better deals should be available.

I live in suburban Chicago, and bought my '23 Maverick XLT in Fort Wayne, IN. I drove 170 miles to Bob Thomas Ford (shout out!) to pick up my truck after a wonderful experience buying online. They had it on display in the showroom when I arrived! Supply was limited, and dealers in Chicago area in '23 were gouging with their prices: $10K markup they called a "Market Adjustment." You read that correctly: $10,000 markup! I pity the fools that paid that "adjustment," and I'm thankful that I was dealt with fairly by a dealer three hours from my home. Worth the trip!

We just purchased a 25 escape phev ( same power train as our hybrid mav but bigger battery) for our daughter. Dealer had over $2200 bs in add ons, tint, paint, fabric and dent protection.

Said that was a non starter.

Salesperson immediately took it off the deal!

Sticker with bs add ons was over $42k! We walked out the door with the car at the great deal of only $25,500 ( the phev is awesome. Wish the mav had a phev version!)

don’t pay for the crap the dealers tack on. Pure bs.
