Out of the blue I got an email from FoMoCo last wk recommending I take my Mav in for a free battery check. Don't know why they sent me the email, other than Ford must have suspected the battery might be bad.
I get at least one "free battery check" email every week for last 2-3 months. Plus separate discount offers also.

Are you having issues with the battery?
I have 2 2022 hybrids. The first one I took in last November at 33 months and 35,200 miles and the "free" 12v handheld battery check said OK but low charge it. I talked to service rep and told her that I had to put maintainer on it every 2-3 days and requested the over night test. They did that and replaced the BXT99RT4A that the test showed a bad cell with a BXT99RT4A MAX SERIES (same number & physical size but has more CCA & reserve capacity). I had no problem with the original for about one year and then had to put on maintainer at more frequent intervals until it was almost daily and my 3yr/36k mile was about to expire. My second 2022 Maverick I have had 27 months. I don't drive it as much has only about 3k miles so I keep maintainer on it anytime it sits over a week or if the dome light fails to come on. I will take it in for the free test and long test st 34 months ago. It a necessary PIB to put them on maintainers but do not expect getting around doing so until Ford has their battery fix that's coming. Even then I will put on maintainer at least quarterly to keep battery from sulfation.

No doubt because of what you learned from this club, right?

There is no hybrid battery recall, which the OP has.
But there is a 12V battery recall, which the OP also has in his Hybrid. That's the "free battery test" he was referencing.

There is a 12V battery recall - for EB's, not hybrids.
Not what the OP was referencing without mentioning.

Free battery test does NOT require a recall, or an SSM.

Just go in with a complaint and they'll test it - if still under warranty.
Many posters have commented about taking it in for a test - some have discovered bad batteries which got replaced, most seem not to, because the truck still starts.
