Or perhaps the OP is NOT aware that thread titles can be changed after the fact? Given the demographics of this group, I'd opt for giving him the benefit of the doubt. @IGNIGNKXT, you CAN change the thread title to reflect that the call came from the dealership, not Ford Motor Company.
I wasn’t aware I could, no. That said, now they know. Not going togo through the effort of editing it for people who attacked me for no reason. Been a helpful , kind member here since the beginning. Was completely unwarranted. If people had suspicion they could have done me the courtesy and messaged me about it and I’d have been more than happy to set the record straight.

I think social media has made people cold. Treat me like I was in your face and we’ll all dojust fine.

Been waiting since last year. I feel like the smartest idiot right now. I feel like I had a golden opportunity but at the same time I just can't justify 40 freakin grand on a goddamn xlt.

Couple that with the fact that price jump would obliterate my profit margin on the vehicle im selling.



I almost wish I wasn't even called. This one hurts.
My local dealer offered me first chance at a Area 51 maverick xl

We live in Texas and we got the same call from our dealer in Austin while we were camping out at the Land Between the Lakes in Tennesee. In this case it was a Lariat Hybrid that someone had walked away from. The dealer then proceeded to add 10 grand of worthless dealer installed options. Making it about 45 grand before TTL. That way they did not have to call it a dealer markup. I declined the offer.

I knew it would be $500 over in writing when I ordered it. (And that is what I paid) Still I was surprised when this was in my glove box going through it later🤔

I was concerned about the dealer experience after reading forum posts. That is why I was watching the tracker closely and showed up when they opened after the truck arrived. They did tell me in Oct 2021 they honored MSRP on special orders but added an market adjustments on stock units. I've attached a window sticker that was on my truck when I first saw it. So if I had not taken the truck, they were going to add a bunch of stuff. They gave me bedliner for $499 and not $899 shown on sticker.

But did you get the $50 nitrogen filled tires?
Dealers have a lot of scams, but I think this one is the best.

Supposedly my order went in the first day the bank opened last September. Anyone get any news other than the 45 day emails?
Yeah, first come, first serve does not apply anymore.
I thought that too when I was in the parking lot before they opened that first day of ordering.
Does not mean squat.
They are building the higher profit gas only butt warmer ones first.

Such tactics have to be an embarrassment for FORD...makes one question the ethics of the dealership(s).
😂 , you used the words “ethics” and “dealership“ in the same sentence! Fortunately there are a FEW dealerships that try to do right, but it’s about 50/50 in my experience. Fortunately one of my local dealers and Long McArthur in Kansas are above average. I agree with you about the embarrassment to FMC, puts them in a bad position.

Yes especially considering that when your order is finally delivered (if you don’t claim it too) they would be able to sell that one as well!

You didn't get a call from Ford, you got a call from a dealer. State laws prohibit car manufacturers from telling car dealers how to do their pricing,
