Just got a call from Ford..

Was just at my local dealer yesterday and they have a Tremmor Lariat going for 60K. Full sized Bronco right beside it for 90K!

Been waiting since last year. I feel like the smartest idiot right now. I feel like I had a golden opportunity but at the same time I just can't justify 40 freakin grand on a goddamn xlt.

Couple that with the fact that price jump would obliterate my profit margin on the vehicle im selling.



I almost wish I wasn't even called. This one hurts.

I can bet that there will lot of people who will be waiting a very long time or ill probably never get their ordered Maverick due to shady dealerships. So many greedy dealers out there pulling scams and changing peoples orders without them knowing so they can 'Steal' the trucks on arrival and sell with a mark up.

Have not had that call yet. But after waiting 19 months for my XL I moved on.
Ford really pissed me off and I will never buy another.

Not gonna lie I don’t read but this is less than 24hrs from your post , I waited 13 months for XLT , Fx4 Luxury Package and didn’t pay one penny over my order sheet. I get it these are in demand but it’s a cheap ass pick up , be smart. If your Dealer is a good Dealer this isn’t even a problem. Bought my last 3 vehicles from them (Miller Motors Burlington Wisconsin) they are a small dealer and there word means everything, kept me in touch every Other month.

...course this will prolly just make people go there to buy the truck. But please....don't buy from these con artists.

They are the ones who messed up my Oct 2021 order which Ford ended up cancelling due to their error. That is why I placed my 2023 with Sanderson Ford. They are selling at MSRP. My window sticker show $500 more than I was quoted. Due to Ford raising the Trim Level and Transportion costs after I placed my order. Sanderson, and I have it in writing, says I will only be billed the amount on my order. Justin has been great to work with. My truck gets built next week....

I hope you can just wait for your vehicle to arrive and that the MSRP price (or whatever you agreed to) will be honored. Just crazy that the dealership would try to "help" you by offering you this vehicle at such a huge mark-up to MSRP.
These are interesting times with car-markers inability to fill orders to match consumer demand for popular vehicles.

I was concerned about the dealer experience after reading forum posts. That is why I was watching the tracker closely and showed up when they opened after the truck arrived. They did tell me in Oct 2021 they honored MSRP on special orders but added an market adjustments on stock units. I've attached a window sticker that was on my truck when I first saw it. So if I had not taken the truck, they were going to add a bunch of stuff. They gave me bedliner for $499 and not $899 shown on sticker.

That’s pretty ballsy of them to put that sticker on the window before you completed the delivery / purchase of your Mav.

I caught them by surprise. I didn't call before I went to dealer. I got there before the salesman and another on asked if I wanted to see my truck. They basically didn't have time to prepare for me. I was using the tracker and not salesman to track my truck.

I got the same call on a 2022 1 week before the 2023 order banks opened.

However, price was "We'll talk when you get here." While they already slapped a $10k ADM sticker on the truck, after we talked, I drove it home for $3k ADM on 2022 pricing and had a choice of 1.9% for 3 yrs, 2.9% for 4 years, or 3.9% for 5 years. I knew rates were gonna go up. So I felt it was a fair deal.

Look, I love my Mav, best little pickup I’ve ever owned - but it isn’t worth $40k in my eyes. Hang tough, it’ll happen.

I’m no longer in any rush. I’m waiting.

I will order a 24' xlt. Awesome ford Chehalis Washington, where they know me. I will be there first thing to get it done on the 17th. I just bought a hold over hyundai until the Maverick shows up. Dealer will sell at MSRP. If a 23' shows up and the person backs out they will sell to me at MSRP. I will never go to another car lot again. These were my people. And that is from personal views.

got ya beat, Bowen Scarf Ford in Kent, WA where I pre-ordered my XL Hybrid in 2021, which has rolled over to a 2023 model has had a handful of XL Hybrid's, even one EXACTLY like my pre-order but they continue to want $35k-$40k for even the base XL (Yes, XL, not XLT) Hybrids. It's so frustrating. I don't have much hope I'll get a 2023 either. If it wasn't for there being no other comparable truck as the Maverick, I would have given Ford the middle finger a long time ago. I hope others come out with Hybrid small trucks for around $30k soon.

I’ll sell you my Cactus Grey AWD with 4K tow hitch. Spray in bed liner with carpet. I ordered a basic Lariat last September.. only 3500 miles..
