Out of sheer impatience (personality flaw on my part), I went to the "Track My Order" website to check on the build of my '25 Maverick Lariat build (Hybrid AWD, scheduled to be built the week of 01 September). I know that often times one server is updated slightly before another, so I didn't want to wait for an email.

It showed that my truck is In Production! Very excited because it was ordered back in early June, and I've been driving my back-up vehicle (a Jeep) since. I've watched every video on YouTube. Read most of the posts here. Read the Service Manual. Bought and received the aftermarket accessories that are interesting to me. All that's missing is the Maverick.

But it's happening!

Sorry for the pointless post, but I'm ecstatic...
I'm really happy for your guys being able to get your Maverick so soon after ordering.

I'm happy for you. I had to wait 14 months for my 24 hybrid as other did too. So I bought a 22 while I waited.
I ordered a 2023 EcoBoost and had to wait 8.5 months for it to be delivered. Those were the good old days when the order bank was only open for about 4-5 days before Ford shut it down.

I saw that, but no, I haven't ordered it yet. My garage is really a car-port and is un-powered. I'm not sure, yet, how to power the tender. I'd rather not run an extension cord... Texas weather often comes with its own electricity.
you don't need no tender - ignore this 'nay sayers' - I've had mine for 3 years 30K miles and ZERO battery problems. Enjoy your new ride and don't even think about it.

Expect it to look kinda like mine!

Congratulations, and I hope you will be as happy as we are with our desert sand, Lariat, hybrid w/4k tow pkg. (To confirm, we love ours and it has been problem free). 😀

I have a battery tender (actually we have 2, as I need one for our class b camper when we aren't in it), and put it on our truck when we are travelling in the camper for a couple weeks or more.

I received my Dessert Sand 2025 Lariat hybrid AWD just before Christmas. I enjoy it more than I thought I would. It's been a great vehicle in terms of comfort, reliability and mpg. I'm about to turn 10K miles soon. No issues whatsoever. My first oil change was at 5K. Not sure when I'll do my second oil change, but I've been a 5k oil change guy for a long time... always Mobil 1. I got 245K out of my Lexus RX300 and 225k out of my Honda Pilot...and that's with cheapo gas. I hope your experience with your new Lariat rivals mine!

....it's happening!
My '25 order has the same build week. Your post prompted me to check order tracking and mine is shown as in production also.

I placed my order two months ago. Things are quicker these days. My '22 took 10 months for delivery.

Battery tender? Needed? Dunno, but I'll prep mine for a quick connect and charge it occasionally for good measure. My '22 will send me charging related messages in Ford Pass occasionally. They stop after charging. I try to put it on the tender overnight every few weeks. I have no idea why the '22 does this. Fingers crossed the '25 doesn't.

I wish when I ordered it was only a 3 month wait... I had almost a year to join and follow the forum, read the manual etc.

As for the extension cord you can do what I used to do - the cord started in the house and ended under the hood with the hood closed so the main parts of the cord and the charger were secured and kept out of the weather.

Correct me if I am wrong but the MY25 is not as prone to 12V battery issues is it?
If it’s manufactured after around April, it contains the latest software that ford recently released for correcting the issue on the older Mavericks . And even if it was manufactured earlier, it has a significantly larger capacity battery than the older models. So I’d be confident that the problem is solved.

There’s an update available that seems to solve this issue. It seems to work better if a new battery is installed at the same time. The 2025 made after April or so already have the update. And ALL 2025’s have a larger battery than the early models. We havent had any 2025’s with that issue at our dealership. My Maverick sat on the lot without being touched for over a month before I took delivery. And it was fine. That’s a good sign. Mine was built before the update was available . If I don’t have any issues, I am not going to perform the update until just before my warranty expires.. At that time, I am going to perform the update whether it needs it or not out of the abundance of caution

Thought about it, yes. But haven't done it, yet. Generac came up right around the week-long power outage during "Snowpocolypse '21". Texas power has come a long way since then, but you're right... that may be the right way.

I noticed you did not reply to the OP at all good bad or otherwise. Like normal you ATTACK anyone who criticizes hybrids in anyway. I have a battery tender I use for my lawn tractor in the winter and plan on buying a second one for my Mustang that doesn't get driven in the winter. I used the 1 I have before but want a different model. I did NOT buy an extended warranty, yet. If I do I am more concerned with the electronics than the transmission. BTW the transmission failures are around 1%. What are the 12v battery failure rates on hybrids? You have a 8 year/100k hybrid warranty also and haven't used it once. So no need for the warranty?
Stop bud. You came into a post from someone who is pumped up about their truck and you tried to take the wind out of their sail.

I pointed out you made a jerk comment. Hard stop.

How big of a Ford apologist would one have to be to go to the expense of buying a generator just to power a battery tender to prevent an electrical problem a new vehicle shouldn't have in the first place? 🤣
